Story
Found on the street by people and then later given to me by relatives concerned about her wounded and mostly healed broken leg, nothing is known about Lily's background. She is around 10, and looks like a Turkish Angora pure breed, though only a feline DNA test would truly prove if she were of that breed. She does have the gentle, slightly demanding, intelligence, and other traits of the Turkish Angora breed. She has a quirk of wanting to be watched while she is eating! I think it is because in her prior life on the streets, she was vulnerable to animal attacks while eating and now wants a guardian to protect her. She has an ongoing urinary-tract health issue, so she must always be fed specially formulated urinary tract cat food. Lily has been bullied by other cats in the past, so may prefer being an only cat. I love Lily very much, but personal financial issues have made it to where I have to make the heart-breaking decision to part with my dear Lily and my other cats.

Snow is a handsome 5 year old medium hair length boy that was unfortunately surrendered to the shelter with his brother Bars. Bars has been adopted. They’re both noted to be house trained and great with children! He is up to date on his vaccinations, combo tested negative, and will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Come meet them both in kennel 678, his ID is 16147. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
