Story
I adopted Squeaks from the Boone Humane Society in 2019. He was raised by a foster family with many other cats and would likely still do well with other cats, although he has only lived with a large dog for the past 3 years of his life. He is currently around 5 years old and still loves to play and has good energy, although he is mostly a snuggly lazy lover cat. He still has all of his claws but is not bothered by nail trimmings if treats are involved. he has been a wonderful cat and has never had an accident or behavioral issues, but unfortunately, he has shown a disinterest in babies and we are expecting a child here in a few months. Would love for him to go to a home with a female or a couple as he has only ever lived in a female-dominate home.

These pups are in Des Moines, Iowa too!

Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a 10.5 year old black medium haired cat. She enjoys being center of attention and loves cuddles. She tolerates young children and other animals. She loves cat grass and tuna. She enjoys being around people and has a bad case of FOMO (fear of missing out). Lucy had a bladder stone in April 2020, which was believed to have been caused by stress. After changing her diet for a bit it went away and we have not seen any problems with it since. Lucy is spayed and up to date on her shots. Lucy’s brother Leo is also up for adoption. While they do not have to stay together, if you are looking for a beautiful duo, look no further! Apply today to meet Lucy in her foster home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.February 29, 2024, 9:54 pm

Story
Ken and Barbie are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair. - Friendly kitty who enjoys attentionThis cat came from a situation where they did not get the socialization that house cats typically get from a young age. Because of this, they may be fearful in new situations and when meeting new people, may need help getting used to a carrier, and may never enjoy being picked up and held. Since this cat has lived with other cats, they may benefit from having another cat friend to help them build confidence and show them the ropes. You can find more info here about cats from hoarding situations and how to work with them to set them up for success. Primary Color: Grey Weight: 6.02 Age: 0yrs 7mths 3wks
