Story
Alvin came to us as a stray with his brother and mother. Alvin has been very shy since coming to the shelter in early March. He would hide in the back of his kennel and show fear when strange faces would appear. Alvin has made so much progress since then! He now allows human interaction and doesn't hide in fear. He approaches cautiously but once he realizes your here to pet him, he will soak up all the attention. He is still getting used to this new environment, but every day is progress. As he continues to open up, his personality becomes more relaxed and even playful! He will now bat at you through the kennel in a playful manner. Alvin is still a little nervous around some of the other cats. If you're looking for a cat that's ready to relax with you, Alvin might be the one for you!

Story
Buzz Lightyear is still trying to settle into his new environment. Coming from the situation he and many other friends were in, it seems hard for him to trust humans and new faces. He seems to just want to be by himself. He will let you pet him, but he is very nervous. He doesn't necessarily show aggression, but he definitely shows caution. We hope now that he is ready for adoption, he can continue to make progress with his personality and open up a little more. Seeing new faces while on the adoption floor might also help him come out of his shell a bit more. If you're interested in giving a shy cat a good home and are willing to show patience through the meet and greet process, Buzz Lightyear might be the cat for you!

Story
Gaston is still taking his time warming up to us here at the shelter. He came from a rough situation and understandably has a hard time trusting people and new faces. Once he comes around and lets you pet him, he will purr to show how much he enjoys the attention. Gaston is still fearful at quick movements. He will come to the front of the kennel to get his pets, but then runs to the back of the kennel when he hears a loud noise or if you move to fast. He doesn't seem to like being held, but that may change once he warms up to everyone. He is a very good hide and seek player! He could be hiding in a spot for a while and wouldn't make his presence known for a long time. He's a very sneaky boy! He doesn't seem to mind other cats. He's very cautious, but curious, as he walks through the cat room to investigate the other kennels. We feel once Gaston starts warming up to the world around him more and realizes that he's no longer going to be treated how he was in the past, he will be a good companion to have in the home.
