Story
💚 Meet Emerald- a rare gem gleaming with sparkle! 💚Emerald is a 1-year old charming, sweet, and playful girl who is excited for her next chapter . She loves to play, get lots of chin and cheek scratches (unless she’s too busy playing!) She is still learning how to accept affection from humans but making amazing progress. She isn’t really shy, she’s actually quite brave and curious, but she needs someone who will go slow and be understanding of her boundaries. For now, she prefers soft voices and and calm surroundings as she continues to show off her glowing purr-sonality. As an FeLV+ cat, she will need to be an only cat or with another FeLV+ cat, but will also do just fine on her own.Emerald is ready to shine in her forever home where she can be spoiled and loved. If you think you could be her match, fill out an application today!FELV is a virus that affects cats. It can not be passed onto humans or dogs. Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
