Meet Zia – Petite, Precious, and Full of Love 💕 Just over 2 years old, Zia may be small in size, but her sweetness is absolutely enormous. This gentle little lady has a calm, loving personality and a way of quietly winning over everyone she meets. Zia adores attention and will happily soak up pets from anyone willing to offer them. She’s friendly, affectionate, and always happy to spend time with her people. Every now and then her playful side peeks out too, reminding everyone that she still enjoys a little fun along with all those cuddles. Despite her petite frame, Zia has a confident, easygoing nature. She doesn’t seem bothered by other cats and may do just fine sharing her home with a friendly feline companion. Story
Kenai is the self-appointed mayor of the kitten room and absolutely everyone’s business is his business. 😹 This handsome little tabby is the only sibling with tabby markings, making him easy to spot as he races around investigating every sound, toy, box, and human in sight. Kenai is playful, curious, and incredibly social. He loves climbing, exploring, wrestling with his siblings Denali, Katmai, Sitka, and Juneau, and then hopping into your lap for attention and pets like he owns the place. If something exciting is happening, Kenai will be the first one there to supervise. Kenai and his siblings are currently almost 13 weeks old and still need a few more weeks before they’ll be ready to head home. He must be adopted with mom Alaska, one of his siblings, or into a home with another young, playful cat. Kenai has a pediatric heart murmur. Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
With a name like Hijinks, you might expect a cat who spends his days swinging from chandeliers and masterminding elaborate pranks. Instead, Hijinks would like you to know that he is currently hiding under a blanket. But don't let that fool you. Hijinks is estimated to be around 2 years old and came from a large hoarding/farm situation with many other cats. When he arrived, he wasn't in great shape. He was covered in ticks, battling severe ear mites, and dealing with intestinal parasites. Thankfully, those days are behind him now, and he's ready to focus on more important things—like convincing humans to keep petting him forever. Life in a shelter can be overwhelming for sensitive cats, and Hijinks tends to cope by transforming into a blanket lump. Visitors often walk by and assume he's shy, withdrawn, or uninterested. Those visitors are wrong. The secret to unlocking Hijinks is simple: start petting him. Now, Hijinks does have one favorite party trick. When you first approach him, he may try to convince you that he's a very scary cat. He'll throw out a hiss or two as if to say, "Move along, human. Nothing to see here." The problem is that nobody seems to have told Hijinks he's terrible at being scary. If you simply continue gently petting him, his tough-guy act falls apart almost immediately. Before long, the hissing stops, the headbutts begin, and he's melting into your hands asking for more attention. It's less "ferocious jungle predator" and more "socially awkward guy pretending he doesn't want hugs." Once he realizes you're there to help rather than harm, he becomes incredibly affectionate. He loves head scratches, adores attention, and is a huge fan of booty scratches. Underneath that timid exterior is an incredibly sweet cat who desperately wants affection but isn't always brave enough to ask for it right away. One thing Hijinks is absolutely confident about? Other cats. He loves them. After spending much of his life surrounded by feline friends, Hijinks finds comfort in the company of other cats and would thrive in a home with a friendly feline companion. We suspect having another cat around will help him settle in more quickly and continue building confidence. Because he can be sensitive to loud noises and sudden activity, Hijinks is looking for a home without children under 10 years old. A quieter environment will give him the chance to truly blossom into the affectionate companion we know he can be. Hijinks may not be the cat who runs to greet strangers at the door. He may not immediately show you how wonderful he is. But if you're willing to sit down, reach under the blanket, and call his bluff, you'll discover a sweet, loving boy who has been waiting his whole life for someone to see him. And trust us—he's worth uncovering. Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change.
