Meet Ellie, a beautiful and affectionate 5–6-year-old Turkish Van who originally came from a shelter in Allentown, PA. Ellie is a sweet, gentle companion who loves simply being near her people. She has a wonderfully peaceful temperament and adjusts to new surroundings surprisingly quickly, making her an easy cat to welcome into a new home. Ellie would thrive best in a quiet, calm household with adults or older children who understand and respect her space. She is not a good fit for a home with small children and would be much happier in a more relaxed environment. Her experience with other cats is unknown, outside of a shelter environment, but given her generally calm and easygoing personality, she may do well with another respectful cat if introduced slowly and properly. Ellie would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a loving, loyal, low-key companion who just wants to be close to her person and enjoy a peaceful home.
