Story
Domestic Shorthair — White with Black “Van Pattern” Markings 🌟 Pearl — The Brave Young Mama Who Deserves Her Fairytale Ending Pearl’s story is one of courage and quiet strength. She was found in a dumpster with her newborn kittens, doing everything she could to keep them warm and safe until help arrived. Thanks to her love and determination, her babies are now healthy and adopted — and now it’s Pearl’s turn to be the one who is safe, loved, and cared for. Pearl is just about a year old, with a sleek, silky white coat and the most unique markings, like she dipped her tail in soft gray paint and caught a few little splashes on her head. Her big, soulful eyes tell her story before she ever says a word. At first, Pearl can be shy and skittish while she learns to trust, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into the sweetest, most loyal little companion. In her foster home, she loves curling up on the couch for naps and resting gently in her foster mom’s lap. She’s a soft-hearted, gentle girl who bonds deeply with her person and brings a peaceful, comforting presence to the home. Pearl does well with gentle, respectful kids and may do well with other cats given slow, patient introductions, she currently seems most comfortable with calm male cats and is slowly warming up to the resident female cat. She could also live with a calm, low-energy dog who will give her space and time to adjust. Pearl has already survived so much, now she just needs someone who will give her what she’s never had before: security, patience, and unconditional love. If you’ve been looking for a tender, trusting soul to share your quiet moments with… Pearl may be the one. Adoption fee: $100, includes vaccines and spay. If you’re interested in meeting or adopting Pearl, please fill out an application at www.northmeckanimalrescue.org

Story
Jack is a cuddly, clingy, vocal, six year old boy. He has grown up in one home since being adopted at 5 months old. He is a people cat and loves to be in the mix of everything. He is not good with other animals, but he is great with all his humans. He loves micromanaging people when they work, making endless biscuits, and chatting all day about any little thing. He is a tabby and Turkish van mix that was rescued in South Florida.

Story
On occasion, inquiries are not forwarded automatically to our rescue by Adopt a Pet. If you would like to inquire about one of our kitties, please reach out directly to the rescue. Thank you. Casey is about 9 months old, very playful, and silly. She is a timid girl, but, with increased socialization, she is starting to overcome her fear. She is really starting to show what a wonderful kitty addition she would be to a family. Casey loves belly rubs, kisses, sleeping in bed with you and squeeze up treats. She gets along fabulously with other kitties. Because it takes Casey time to feel safe and to get to know you, she should have a quieter household, and she would love with a kitty buddy to show ger the ropes. She has not been around dogs, but a quieter dog should be fine. If kids in the home older would be better over 12 years. Of course, she wouldn't mind a single person or a couple, or someone who works from home. Casey has had age-appropriate vetting, is FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped and has been spayed. FREE wellness visit with adoption. Saving Southern Kitties has the most comprehensive vetting standards for adoption. Please visit our kitties at the Rivergate Petsmart in Charlotte and like and visit Saving Southern Kitties Facebook page for an up-to-date list of adoptable kitties. An application is required.
