Story
BIRTHED THEIR LITTERS ON THE SAME DAY DOB 10/1/23, 10/1/24 Hey there, everyone! We’re Winter and Summer, a sweet, calm, and gentle mother/ daughter duo who is very bonded to each other. Although we cry when we’re separated, we both adore sharing quiet moments with Foster Meowmy – especially when she rubs Winter’s belly or gently scratches Summer’s ears, chin, and cheeks. Boy howdy! Does that ever feel good! Winter says, “I’m a loving Turkish Van mix gal, which means that I’m white except for a black cap on my head and black tail. I’m really quite a stunning beauty who will mesmerize you with my shiny gold-coin eyes and plush, snowy-white coat. When Foster Meowmy’s not available to dispense belly rubs, I’m quite content to pass the day basking in a patch of sunshine on the windowsill. It’s the perfect spot to watch “kitty TV” as squirrels scamper up the trees, birds fly by, and brazen lizards stare at me through the glass.” Summer says, “I’m a playful “bicolor,” which means that I’m mostly white except for soft brown tabby on my head, back, and tail. My natural eyeliner and lipstick give me a glamorous look, if I do say so myself! I’m barely more than a kitten myself, so I have a playful side that loves to sneak up on toys like a wild little huntress. You should see the enthusiasm that I have when Foster Meowmy waves the wand toy up, down, and around the room!” Winter continues, “I deserve to live a life of leisure because by the time I was 19 months old, I had already delivered two litters of kittens at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. Like mother, like daughter -- I was a year old when Summer was born, and Summer was seven months old when we both gave birth to a total of nine kittens on the very same day in May!” We merged our two litters so none of the kits knew which of us was their momma or grandma. We raised our kittens together as true partners to insure that our kittens got the nonstop love and nurturing they needed to thrive. When the kits were six weeks old, a kind HOPE volunteer rescued all eleven of us from the apartments and brought us into foster care. Now that we’ve permanently retired from motherhood, we’re ready to teach our forever hooman family how to relax and chill out after a hard day at the office. Oh the fun we all might have side-by-side on the sofa as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. To make our ecstasy complete, you just have to promise to give Winter an occasional belly rub and from time to time scratch the sweet spots on Summer’s head. Since we’re inseparable and cry when we aren’t together, we think it would be the cat's meow if we could be adopted together. We could be lifetime cuddle buddies and playmates while you're at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet us today! Incidentally, there are advantages of adopting kitties who are past the stage of kitten mayhem. We’re much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories. HOPE ID 25-0609-S039, S040 Winter and Summer are currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $425 bonded-pair adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
Looking for a cuddle buddy this rainy season and beyond? Kif is just the dude for you! This big handsome fella can be a teensy bit shy at first, but it doesn't take long for him to warm up to folks, especially if it means scratches behind the ears are coming his way! Kif would do best if his has the company of his buddy Farnsworth and requires an indoor-only home. This conversationalist doesn't want to share your attention and would do best in an adult home or in a family with older, cat-savvy kids. Please visit our website www.vipp.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
