Story
My two kids and I got Duke when he was about 9 weeks old. He is a vizsla/Shepard mix. We have had him for 3 years and his energy level is too much for us to attend to. His breed is a working dog breed. He needs to get out and run and attend to his energy of his breed. Unfortunately after my boyfriend and I and 3 kids have moved in together he does not get the attention he needs. He is a very attached breed and needs a lot of attention and a couple that can get him out to do things often, exercise with him, run ect. He is very smart and trainable unfortunately we are just not able to give him the time and attention he needs.

Story
Meet Roxy! This 6 month old girl was born in rescue to mother Anastasia from MCACC—yes, she is Nilla’s sister! A DNA test let us know that Roxy is around 50% Vizsla mixed with Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute and German Shepherd. Roxy had been adopted until she was about 5 months old when she was sadly returned to us. She is such a sweetheart and is very social with other dogs, she just needs to go where she will have her exercise needs met. Roxy was slow to warm up in her foster home, she is a shy girl who takes a moment to get comfortable. She is a little timid, and always wants to do her best. Sometimes if she’s worried that you’re mad at her she will scurry away to her crate and hide.  Building trust and having patience with her will go a long way with Roxy. She does have some separation anxiety, but her crate is her safe space and helps her settle when she’s alone and in overwhelming situations.  Her crate is also where she stashes her growing collection of toys—yes, Roxy is a bit of a collector. Stuffed animals, balls, or the occasional missing sock, she is very proud of her little treasures. Roxy is a total lap dog, always up for belly rubs, cuddles, and mealtime treats. She wants to be a part of everything and doesn’t want to miss out on any of the action. Roxy is a girl who loves to be loved! Roxy will thrive in an active home that can match her high energy and keep her engaged. Because she is shy, a home that is patient and gentle will help build her trust. She is currently in a home with multiple dogs of all sizes, and would love a playful dog companion in her forever home as she learns a lot from watching other dogs. Roxy does great with kids of all ages and would be a wonderful family dog. If this sweet girl has a place in your family, fill out an application to meet Roxy today! Story
Nilla was born in rescue to mother Anastasia from MCACC. A DNA test was done on the litter and we learned that Nilla is a mix of Vizsla (~50%), Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute and German Shepherd. At 8 weeks old, Nilla and her brother Duke went to a foster-to-adopt home, but sadly were returned at 18 weeks when we were set to finalize their adoption. Now that she isn't a baby anymore, Nilla is having a much harder timing finding a family. Her brother was lucky and got adopted right away, but Nilla is still waiting for someone to pick her. She has been getting nothing but compliments for being such a good girl since returning to us! No surprise that Nilla is a high energy girl. Walks help expend her energy, and also make a great training opportunity as she is still learning leash manners. Nilla walks very much like a puppy — exploring everything! She is playful with other animals, loves belly rubs, and is very affectionate. Nilla can be a little protective of her humans around other dogs and people - not in an aggressive way, but she will try to put herself in between you and them so she can get all the attention. Like any puppy, Nilla likes to chew, but she has been very responsive to redirection and verbal corrections. She listens very well and even loves spending time in her crate. Nilla would do well in a variety of homes - she is a very happy girl who loves her humans! She has been exposed to young kids, cats and dogs since a young age. Because of her high energy, a home that could offer a lot of activity would be ideal. We believe she could do well with kids of all ages. She has been interested in playing with cats in her temporary foster home and read their behaviors well enough to know when to leave them alone. She currently lives with other dogs large and small and would enjoy a home that has other playful dogs. If you think Nilla has a place in your home, fill out an application to meet this sweet girl! https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Hello, we are looking to rehome our pup Copper. He is the sweetest boy but unfortunately we can no longer home him. We got him from a rescue when he was 6 months old, he is now just shy of 2 years old. His is a Vizsla, Lab, and Hound mix. He is up to date on all his vaccines, chipped, has completed a puppy training course, and is crate trained. His is very submissive and very smart. He loves to cuddle and run around. I have taken him on some hikes, a few trail runs, and recently started introducing him to water. He is good with other dogs (may actually even do better with another pup to play with). The reason he is crate trained is because he is a little bit of a chewer, and like all pups, does better after he’s had an active day. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you.
