Story
Greetings everyone. My name is ZAHARA, and here is a little info about me:Breed: Viszla/Dachshund mixAge: 3 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 28 lbsCountry of origin: MexicoHighlight(s):  Energetic, Daring, Outgoing, Brave Gang way, here I come. Looking for fun times and lovely living in Canada.Given away by my original owner (a travel nurse who had to relocate), life took a difficult turn. The next home wasn’t kind; being tied down day and night without enough food left me malnourished and eventually dumped at a local marketplace. Thankfully, a shop vendor contacted the rescue staff two years ago.Now fully recovered, the past is behind me and a bright future in a new sanctuary is all that matters.High energy makes me a great activity companion, especially for an outdoorsy lifestyle.Having a good nose and running super fast, I’d love to go on hikes in the Pacific Northwest. Whether it’s scent work, agility, flyball, tracking, or Frisbee, any sport we can do together sounds like a dream.Perhaps a runner needs a friend to pace them, or a swimmer wants a paddling buddy? Let's find what suits us and go for it!Being an outgoing girlie means doing well in a social circle.Tremendous leadership skills have even been noted by my rescuer, as I’m often the one used to introduce new dogs to the ranch. How’s that for all-around experience? An active family is my biggest hope. Preferably with a yard, though it isn't a requirement if there are enough outdoor adventures.Getting along with other dogs is easy for me. According to my rescuer, interacting with kitties and kids around the ranch has gone well, too (though no videos exist yet). Having lived in a home for a few months, the concept of waiting to go potty is familiar, but a refresher in a new environment would be helpful. Videos coming soon! Energy Level: highI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknown, rescuer states yes, but no video proof yetKids: unknown, rescuer states yes, but no video proof yet Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home! Health notes:I have been spayed, vaccinated, and LALDR will pay for my microchip after arrival. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2504724##

Hi there!! My name is ELLY (Era) and you can find some information about me below.Breed: Vizsla/Shepard mixAge: 4 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 26 lbsHeight: 46 cmCountry of origin: MexicoHighlights: curious, gentle, affectionate, eager learner, smart, playful, social l've got a big heart and even a bigger curiosity about  the world. I hope you can show me all about the wonderful things we can explore together. When I was about 10 or 11 months , kind people found me living outside a store as brought me to the shelter. That has been my home ever since - over 3 long years! The shelter is in a remote area with lots of dogs but not much exposure to everyday life, so I will need patience and understanding as  I learn what it's like living in a real home. Things like mirrors, cars or household noises might seem strange or even a bit scary at first, but I'm smart and eagar to learn. I just need someone who will give me time and space to feel safe and loved.I enjoy spending time with people, kids, and other dogs. I walk nicely on leash. I can get a little anxious in a crate, but do great in open spaces and love being close to my humans. You will find me to be a playful, social as well as a curious girl. I'm a loyal, gentle and affectionate companion who will blossom with kindness and routine. After years of shelter life I'm ready to discover cozy beds, quite walks and all the cuddles I've been missing. My rescuer says I'm good with kids , women and men just no video proof. Hello everyone. My name is Ricki and here is a little info about me: Breed: Vizsla/Labrador mixAge: 3 years Gender: Male    Weight: 47 lbHeight: 60 cmHighlight(s): Good with other dogs, cats, people, no sign of aggression, very smart boy My name is Ricki, and I find myself in search of a loving forever home. My story began when I was discovered in a box alongside my brother, Ramo, and sister, Roya outside of a shelter in the Middle-East. We were lucky when our rescue mom found us and brought us inside! hard for little puppies to survive this crazy world sometimes! The three of us were adopted by one of the smallest dogs at the shelter, he has been our mom, our dad and our mentor since day one. Of course I had to post some photos amd videos of us with our adopted dad!  Despite our challenging start, I have emerged as a sociable and intelligent boy, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to be part of a family.I am a handsome boy who appreciates the company of cats, other dogs, and humans. Playfulness is at the core of my nature, I just can not wait for the day, that I can run around freely and just be a dog. I'm known for my ability to adapt and learn quickly. I'm always ready for an intellectual challenge. Most of all, I like to please, be cute and give kisses, specially if there are treats involved. Given my young age, I do require regular walks and daily activities. It is crazy, but come to think of it, I have never seen the outside world, I hear it is beautiful out there. My life's journey has brought me here, seeking the warmth and security of a loving home. If you are in search of a loyal and intelligent companion, I may be the perfect match. Together, we can create lasting memories and embark on a journey filled with love and shared adventures, oh how much fun that would be. Will you open your heart and home to me?  I eagerly await the chance to meet you and to love you and to call you my forever family. Story
Born June 2025, Manchas and her siblings were puppies on the street far too young. Thankfully a kind stranger took them in for a few weeks while they waited for space to open up at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta. While we’re so happy she’s off the street, she belongs in a home with a family who loves her. We think she’ll grow to about 30 lbs. She is a mixed breed which may include terrier and pointer, and her name translates to “spots” for her beautiful and unique red spots on her white coat. Manchas was good tested with cats – she was very curious. As Manchas has spent her early life in sanctuary she prefers walking with other dogs and might like a dog companion to show her the way. Manchas has been going to the Saturday market in PV and has been doing amazing with meeting new people and other dogs that pass by, she’s very calm and curious. If you think you might be a good fit for this gorgeous girl, either as her happy ever after, or as a foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response in case it’s made its way there. Check out more here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRGm5yHEbfe/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

Story
She's ready for her second chapter in life with her family in beautiful BC 🇨🇦 Background: Songsol was found on the streets of Yongin, Korea last summer. She had been abandoned and was in terrible condition. Her body was extremely thin, with only skin and bones left. She had severe bedsores and was unable to walk. Weak and exhausted, she was rushed to the hospital where she stayed for one month. After her hospitalization, Songsol joined our partner boarding house. With proper care, she slowly began to gain weight and rebuild her strength. She now lives peacefully with other dogs and continues to grow healthier every day. Personality and Socialization: Songsol is a gentle and loving girl with a medium energy level. She is friendly with everyone she meets and does well with other dogs as long as they are friendly. More than anything, Songsol loves being with her people. She is very affectionate and enjoys cuddling and staying close to her humans. She is truly a people focused dog and feels happiest when she is by your side. Behaviour: Songsol is an easygoing and smart girl. She does well in the car and is calm during baths, grooming, and vet visits. She walks nicely on leash and is generally well behaved. She can experience separation anxiety and prefers being near her humans. For this reason, we are looking for a home where someone is around most of the time and can offer her reassurance and companionship. Health and Diet: While we do not know what Songsol went through before she was found, it is clear that she suffered severe neglect. Thankfully, she has fully recovered and is now healthy and is ready for her forever home. She does not require any special medication or treatment. Songsol is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. She eats dry food twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies. Ideal Home: Songsol is a sweet, gentle, and intelligent dog who deeply loves people. Her ideal home would be one where she is rarely left alone and is included in daily life. A detached house is preferred, as she may bark if she feels anxious when left alone. A quiet environment such as the countryside would suit her well. A retired person or someone who works from home and can spend plenty of time with Songsol would be the perfect match for this loving girl. Apply to become her family today: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/songsol/
