ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Jasper and Sienna are Courtesy Post Only and are not Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs. SCDR is not  responsible for any ownership, behavior, health, and representations made by the owner with respect to these dogs. You must contact their owner,  Danielle at  leyvadaniela@gmail.com    for further information.   ******** Ideally, they would go to a home together as we believe they are siblings and are very bonded but we are considering separating. They would do best in a home where their humans aren't away for very long and we recommend crate training when you are away or at night.    Sienna is a Vizsla mix around 40 pounds, about 1 1/2 years old. She is a timid little girl but very cuddly and playful when she gets comfortable. She and her brother love to take long walks in the neighborhood and parks. She is very food driven and enjoys bully sticks and treats. Still learning commands. She is not so great on a leash and needs some general training. She can be a little growly when other dogs growl at her but loves all people and children. She tends to follow her brother's lead and leans on him for guidance.  Sienna is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.     Jasper is a Vizsla mix and weighs around 50 pounds, about 1 1/2 years old. Jasper is a little chunky, mischievous love bug. He seems more pittie/lab but loves people and children the same. He is more confident than Sienna. He is all boy and a bit clumsy but loves cuddles and attention. He is great on a leash and a little more house broken but would also benefit from general training. He can be protective of his sister. Jasper is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.   For further information or to meet Sienna or Jasper, please contact, their owner Danielle at leyvadaniela@gmail.com  All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Story
Cricket was found as a stray in Imperial Valley California . The Calexico Animal Shelter is a high kill shelter, as they do not have a staff vet and cannot adopt out dogs that are not sterilized. Rescue only "pulls" or owners can get their dogs back . She was pregnant at intake but they still vaccinated her despite that fact. Unfortunately, vaccines can kill the puppies, but by golly these guys made it! There are 7 little pups that were born at the foster's house the night she arrived! ##1820568##

Story
Connor is a gorgeous pointer and Golden Retriever he has the best traits of both breeds. He house trained himself using a dog door the first day in his foster home and he is a very smart puppy who would excel at whatever activity you want to do with him. Connor is learning to walk on leash and doing such a great job. He is playful with all dogs he’s met - but he also likes to snuggle on the couch with his foster mom. Connor sleeps in his crate all night and quietly, but eagerly, awaits his breakfast in the morning. If you want an active, large breed puppy to take for a run, to the beach or hiking - Connor is the perfect fit. He has already started training and is ready for you. Please no young children, and a large fenced yard will be a bonus. Must be retired or working from home If interested on adopting him go to www.k9connectionpetadoption.org and fill out the adoption application

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ava, and her 3 sisters were living in horrible situation in Barstow Ca, their owner was feeding them just bread and milk poor babies were starving. They were on their way to a high kill shelter so we intervened and picked them up right away. Ava, and her sisters are in a foster home eating good food and playing and running around with their toys.. Ava, is the is so very friendly, sweet and just love to give gentle kisses. She is so gentle, calm and not nippy like some puppies are. She is truly grateful for being saved, she literally kiss my hand every time I go to pet her. Oh i just love her so.. She’s so intelligent and treat motivated so training will be a breeze. Ava, is being potty trained and doing really good, she flies out the doggie door like a champ to go potty. She's still a baby so continuous obedience training will make her a very well rounder pup. Ava, has been examined by a vet and is in good health, she received her 1st set if puppy vaccines and dewormed so far. We will continue her vetting until spayed. If you live in LA, San Diego County or surrounding areas have a home with a yard and a secured fence and would love adopt Ava, then please complete our adoption application at tlck9rescue.org.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2024, 11:05 am
