Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 11/26/25 Sandy This good little girl was found as a stray, alone and starving. Thankfully, a good Samaritan took action and she is now safe, fully vetted, and ready for a home! Sandy is about 6 months old and weighs about 30 lbs. We believe she is a Vizsla mix and will probably be around 50-60 lbs once fully mature. She walks very well on leash, and is working on house training. She is medium energy level and gets along great with other dogs and would do very well with kids. She has a gentle, sweet spirit. Sandy is located in Arkansas. She can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sGd4aGISzGI Peanut is a young handsome boy who would love to become your cuddle buddy. He has a stunning milk chocolate colored coat and a lean, sportive physique. He is great with other dogs, walks well on the leash and does well in the crate. He does well with cats in general but can chase if they are skittish so only cats who are well adjusted and used to being around dogs. He is a great boy who faced euthanasia along with his brother simply for being out of time. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Story
Meet Lilly! Lilly is a 3 year old Vizsla mix looking for a 2nd chance at a forever home. Lilly was surrendered to us due to behaviors that showed up from lack of structure and boundaries in her house as she grew up. Lilly is an athletic dog that needs a physical and mental outlet to help curb that bored behavior. She grew up with an owner that didn't follow through on training advice and giving structure to a dog that very much thrived in a structured environment. Lilly needs time to trust people and can get nervous and protective. She is currently living in a long term home boarding environment and is thriving there but she deserves a life and attention of her own. Lilly is very dog friendly and would be great with another playful dog in the house, almost to the point where this may be a requirement for adoption! We are looking for an active couple or family that will bring her on lots of hikes and active adventures, possibly a family that wants a dog to do agility and sports with, and a family that will give time to training so that Lilly can show her true potential. Lilly is vaccinated and spayed, crate and potty trained. If you are interested in meeting or adopting this perfect girl, fill out an application on our website, www.outriderdogsrescue.com. Thank you for choosing adoption! Outrider Dogs Rescue

Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Weebles Breed: Vizsla Mix Sex/Age/Weight: Male/estimated DOB 10/2023 /65 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventatives House trained/Crate Trained: In progress/Yes. Dogs/Cats/Children: Has not been tested with cats or children, but can be tested upon request. Weebles loves other dogs! Energy Level: Very high- I am a super-active dog who needs a high-energy owner Before FAR/My History: I was found 5/25/2024 on the side of a road next to an orchard lying beside a laundry basket with a tarp. My humans don’t know if someone dumped me but it looks that way. I had been hit by a car some months earlier and my legs didn’t work right. I was very skinny and hungry. I had femoral head and neck ostectomy (FHO surgery) on 6/20/2024 on my back right leg to fix all the problems caused by the accident and the subsequent medical neglect. I am all healed and healthy now! Training Status/Commands I know: Sit and Touch the open hand to get a treat/food instead of leaping for the food Working on: Everything- I have puppy energy, but I am working on channeling it into being a good dog. Things I like: Playtime! Any interaction is playtime to me. I am always ready to run and explore! I definitely still have puppy energy, but I am an active breed. I love chew toys and treats and if I can sit still long enough, I love belly scratches. Things I don’t like: I don’t like to be left out. If you are doing something, I want to be right there doing it with you. I need constant interaction and stimulation so that I don’t get bored. Things that make my humans happy: My happiness even though I’ve been through so much. I go to my doctor appointments with the same attitude that I go to get a pup cup, just happy to see everyone and everything. My name is Weebles because I wobble but I don’t fall down, physically or figuratively. I am always a happy pup. If you are interested in giving Weebles a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. *When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt however it does reserve for you the opportunity to adopt that particular animal. We review them on a first come first served basis. If your application is approved, we will contact you and allow you the opportunity to adopt. If you choose not to adopt, we will contact the next approved applicant. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Athena! Athena's journey hasn't been easy. She came to us as a protective and standoffish mama dog, fiercely guarding her 9 puppies after living a life on the streets and having litter after litter. It took a lot of time and patience to gain her trust, but now that she's found it again, Athena is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl. She may take time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, she will love you forever. Athena has a calm demeanor and would thrive in a home where her new family can give her the time and patience she needs to feel safe and comfortable. As a Vizsla mix born around February 26, 2019, she’s fully grown and ready to be a loving companion. Athena is spayed, up to date on prevention, and fully vaccinated. She’s now ready to find her forever home where she can continue to blossom and show her true loving nature. Her adoption fee is $300, and she is available through A Doggie 4 You. If you're interested in giving Athena the loving home she deserves, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Could Athena be the missing piece of your family? This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY, or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225.
