Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time? Ivy is a very sweet dog, active and lots of energy. She loves cuddles and lounging in her bed/her house. Ivy would do best in a home where she is the only dog, she loves to play rough and it can be too much for little dogs.

Story
Benny is 8 years old - but he looks and acts a lot older. He is what one would call a Velcro-dog. He picks a person and sticks to them like glue. I’ve had Benny since he was 3 pounds - he has always been a very good boy. He is house trained, good with kids. Babies being rough stresses this old man out, so preferably older kids. He doesn’t mind babies, he just doesn’t like the ear-pulling and climbing that comes with them. He is in his retirement days. The thing he likes to do the most is sleep. He loves to be cuddled, will bother you to sleep next to you on the couch or bed, and wants covered up and tucked into blankets. While he is a sweetheart… He has an issue with stress and anxiety. He’s not much for barking, and doesn’t bite. But, unfamiliar or loud noises will make him run and hide to his safe space or safe person. He might be a giant scaredy cat, but he is worth it. All this guy needs is a blanket and a person to love him, so he can sleep away his days in peace.
