Meet Mr. Jackson: Adventure Buddy by Day, Best Friend for Life! Looking for a dog who's equal parts explorer, companion, and sweetheart? Let us introduce you to Mr. Jackson!Jackson is a handsome 2-year-old hound mix weighing 55 pounds with a friendly, well-balanced personality that makes him easy to love. He has a wonderful medium energy level, enjoying outdoor activities and adventures while also knowing how to relax and settle down afterward.Recently, Jackson got to stretch his legs on a hiking adventure, and he was an absolute star! He walked beautifully on leash, tackled the trails like a pro, and happily greeted everyone he met along the way. His social and confident nature makes him a joy to take out and about, whether you're exploring a local park, heading out for a weekend hike, or simply enjoying a neighborhood walk.Jackson gets along well with other dogs and adjusts nicely to new environments. He's the kind of dog who is always ready for the next adventure but is equally happy spending quality time with his family when the day is done.Being a hound, Jackson loves to follow his nose and investigate all the exciting scents the world has to offer. Because of his curious nature and enthusiasm for tracking interesting smells, we'd love to see him in a home with a secure fenced yard where he can safely explore and play. A fence will help keep this adventurous boy safe while allowing him to enjoy one of his favorite hobbies, sniffing everything in sight!Jackson would thrive with an active family or individual who enjoys spending time outdoors and wants a loyal companion to share life's adventures. In return, he'll bring love, laughter, and plenty of happy memories.Mr. Jackson is ready to find a forever home where he can continue exploring the world, soaking up affection, and being the wonderful companion he was born to be. Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sGd4aGISzGI Peanut is a young handsome boy who would love to become your cuddle buddy. He has a stunning milk chocolate colored coat and a lean, sportive physique. He is great with other dogs, walks well on the leash and does well in the crate. He does well with cats in general but can chase if they are skittish so only cats who are well adjusted and used to being around dogs. He is a great boy who faced euthanasia along with his brother simply for being out of time. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative).
