Story
Meet Sharon, a gentle and sweet Vizsla mix between 3 and 5 years old. She is a perfect combination of friendly and independent qualities, making her ideal for families with children aged 8 and older. Although she may be shy at first, Sharon quickly warms up and becomes a cuddly, affectionate companion. Her gentle nature makes her a wonderful addition to any home seeking a calm and loving pet. Adopt Sharon and experience the joy of having a loyal friend who brings warmth and happiness to your everyday life. I’m not a fan of cats, so I would prefer to live in a home without any. - TJ Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable. Meet Stella! This stunning young red head beauty, just a year old, who is looking for her perfect match for endless adventures! She is a Petite Pit Bull who weighs 36.5 Lbs. (We believe she could be mixed with Vizsla). With her expressive eyes, Stella is the kind of dog who makes an impression - and once you get to know her, you'll discover her heart is as beautiful as her striking coat. Stella is the definition of a loyal companion who lives for quality time with her people. Whether she's joining you for a car ride (her absolute favorite!), exploring new places, or showing off how attentive she is during training sessions, this energetic girl puts her whole heart into everything she does. When Stella gets to know you, her friendly, outgoing personality makes her a natural social butterfly, and she forms deep bonds with those she loves. Stella will sleep in a crate or dog bed but would absolutely love to snuggle with you.

Story
Clifford is an amazingly peaceful and introspective canine, who looks at you with admiring, accepting eyes that speak of his caring and gentle nature. Clifford showed an empathetic awareness of the human who was sharing the bark park experience. He lets you know that he accepts you for who you are and hopes that you will return the gesture of understanding. Two-year-old Clifford showed his desire to be close as he often walked up behind the human and gave a soft, soft touch to his hand. Our Humane Society Clifford doesn’t share the sizable proportions of his namesake, but he does emulate the loyalty and trustworthiness of his awe-inspiring role model. Not so strangely, Clifford is a fan of Dave Matthews and would love to relax with you and listen to the contemplative and soulful “Peace on Earth.”
