Story
Esme is a simple girl that came to our attention at Critter Cavalry Rescue as she struggled to find a place to raise her 7 puppies that she birthed.  The odds were stacked but she managed to bring 3 of the 7 puppies through to the place that they could be adopted during the coming weeks.  This girl is 2 years old, weighs 35 pounds and has a sleek, beautiful demeanor that speaks to everyone she meets with a kindness and courage.  Esme is learning how to enjoy the niceties of being an inside dog as she has raised her puppies.  She is housebroken, crate trained and is good with all the other dogs and cats at the foster home.  She is around young active children (boys) and she keeps her calm demeanor through all the activities of the children. She loves people so much and just to be with someone.  She is food motivated and very bright and can learn so much if you use the treat method to win her attention and desire to learn a trick or commands. She is a great medium energy girl that is ready to chase a toy or ball but has not gotten the memo on how to bring it back to the person who threw it. She is wonderful on a leash and has a slight playful side to her. This pretty girl is really not big at all and on the smaller side of a Lab and she demands little from life or her people.  We are wanting the sun, moon and stars for her future with a new family. Could you give that to her?  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 20, 2026, 9:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Chance a long&#226&#128&#145legged sweetheart with an even bigger heart.  If you’re looking for a puppy who’s equal parts adorable, playful, and irresistibly loving, Chance is your guy. With his lanky legs, soft eyes, and goofy grin, he’s the kind of pup who turns heads everywhere he goes. We think he may have some Vizsla in him, those elegant legs and that expressive face certainly hint at it, but only time (and future DNA testing) will tell. What we do know is that he’s 100% charm. Chance has been raised in a lively, kid&#226&#128&#145filled home with multiple dogs, constant activity, and endless love. Because of that, he’s wonderfully social, confident, and used to the joyful chaos of family life. He adores children of all ages, plays beautifully with other dogs, and thrives in an environment where there’s always something fun happening. In addition Chance attends doggy daycare. This sweet boy is already house trained and crate trained.......a huge bonus for such a young pup. He has a moderate to high energy level, meaning he’s always ready for fetch, zoomies, and adventures, but once he’s gotten his wiggles out, he melts right into your lap for snuggles.  He’s working on his basic commands and is eager to learn, especially with someone who can guide him as he grows. Chance would flourish with a family who has the time, patience, and affection to continue raising a young, active puppy. He’ll do best with someone who’s home often enough to give him the structure, attention, and love he craves. If you want a happy, affectionate, intelligent puppy who will bring laughter, joy, and heart&#226&#128&#145melting cuteness into your home every single day, Chance might just be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Meet Diamond-- a sweetie pie! She’s an energetic senior German Short-haired Pointer Mix. Although she has lots of energy, she’s also the biggest cuddle bug. Moreover, she loves to talk; thus, she barks quite a bit. As an affectionate companion, she should be the only fur-baby of her paw-rent (s). Given her lively nature, Diamond is quite strong and pulls on the leash so a sizable backyard to run around and go potty is needed. Overall, her ideal home is with adults and children (13 years old and up) who love snuggling on the couch and occasionally being outside. Diamond is crate- and house-trained and knows basic commands (i.e. sit, lay, “crate up”). She is up to date on all of her shots, and she doesn’t have any special needs or known medical conditions. We’re moving and unfortunately can’t take her with us. When adopted, Diamond will come with a crate– fit for a large dog, water and food bowls, vet records, 3 months of heartworm medicine, and a 20lb bag of dog food.
