Story
Meet Geist — Your Sweet, Silly, Fetch&#226&#128&#145Loving Companion Geist is a 4.5&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old Weimaraner weighing 79 pounds, and he came to Wish Bone after his owner sadly passed away. This handsome boy has a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and a personality that blossoms beautifully once he feels comfortable. Geist is fully housetrained and not a fan of the crate, but he doesn’t need one — he can be trusted in the home and sleeps wherever he likes at night. He enjoys hanging out in the house or yard, going on long walks (he’s a lovely walker), riding in the car, playing with toys, and especially chasing tennis balls. Fetch is his absolute favorite, and he’ll happily show off his skills. He also loves a good bone or antler to chew on. He’s excellent with kids and has been calm and sweet with little ones as young as two. While he may come off a bit shy at first, he quickly becomes confident, happy, and playful. Geist is friendly, affectionate, and adaptable — a boy who would do well in most home environments. From his foster mom: Geist was slower to warm up to dogs and active kids inside the home, so slow introductions are helpful. He coexists peacefully with other large dogs but prefers playing with his people over dog&#226&#128&#145to&#226&#128&#145dog play. He walks wonderfully on a leash, LOVES tennis balls, and enjoys daily car rides. He’s independent, not destructive, and doesn’t need constant attention, though he does enjoy cuddling and will happily lay on you when he’s in the mood. His personality is incredibly sweet, silly, and endearing. Geist is ready to find a loving home where he can stretch his legs, soak up affection, and be someone’s loyal, joyful companion. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Justin is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. He loves zoomies in the yard, squeaky toys, and wrestling with dog friends, but once playtime is over he’s happiest curled up next to his person getting belly rubs. Going belly up for attention is one of his favorite things, and he never says no to cuddles. Justin is a true people-pleaser who forms a strong, loyal bond with his family and just wants to make his humans happy. He does great with other dogs and enjoys having a buddy to play with, but he’s also gentle and respectful with puppies and kids. In his foster home, he’s been wonderful with children as young as 2 and even sleeps in bed every night with the 8-year-old. He isn’t reactive on leash, is learning not to pull when excited, and is fully house trained with no accidents reported. Justin is the kind of dog who can keep up with playtime, then happily settle in for snuggles. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, and loving companion, Justin might be your perfect match.
