Story
My name is CARRIEBOO (Bella), and here is a little info about me:Breed: Shepard/Springer Spaniel mixAge: 3 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 40 kg/88 lbsHeight: TBDHighlight(s): Cuddly, loves attention, fast trusting, playful, gentle giant Ready to bond quickly, and there is lots of me to love and cuddle up with. I am your wonderful girl!I used to be a herding dog, but I was abandoned after having a litter of puppies. My past was tough, I was left sick with an infection, hurt, and emotionally traumatized after my puppies were taken away. It took many vet visits, but I’ve fully regained my health and my spirit. I’m now happy, healthy, and ready for a fresh start!Despite being abused as a young pup, I still crave attention and will trust you faster than you’d expect. Being a playful 'gentle giant,' older children are a better match for me to avoid any accidental bumps during playtime! I bond quickly and have so much love (and fluff) to share. I need a patient home with a yard, ranch, or farm, though a quiet neighborhood house works too! Apartment life isn't for me because noises make me a bit nervous.Three good walks a day and some time to feel safe are all I need to be your most loyal companion. Energy Level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yes Fears: Sensitive to noises. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: some. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: No. Please be prepared to help me learn! Health notes:Due to an old myth, the ears and tail were cut off as a puppy. This does not affect daily life or the ability to be a loving companion.I have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Most passengers from the Middle East now require a fee to accompany a dog on a flight. Due to this, if a rescuer finds a flight with this requirement, we will contact you to see if you are willing to pay the passenger. You are under no obligation to do this. If not, another flight will need to be searched for, though there is no guarantee a free or lower cost one will be found. Though oft times a passenger is requesting higher amounts, the fee will not exceed $250. Our rescuers work extremely hard finding flights and spend tremendous amounts of money caring for and sending these dogs to safety. They simply haven't the extra money to cover this. Thank you for your understanding. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1770909##

Story
Hi there! My name is SHIRLEY and here is a little info about me.Breed: Brittany Spaniel/Harrier mixAge: 2 - 1/2 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 35 lbHeight: 21 inches I’m gentle, fun, and full of love. I can’t wait to find a best friend of my very own.I was rescued in the middle of a big storm at a remote Black Sea beach campsite, when I was just a tiny 2-month-old pup, along with my mama and eight siblings. It was a scary time. When we were brought back to the refuge, my siblings and I were very sick and had to stay in isolation. Once the storm abated, we were taken to the vet and diagnosed with parvovirus. The hoomans gave us round-the-clock care and immunity boosters, but sadly, most of my siblings didn’t survive. The pups who made it, including me, were given a life-saving vaccine once we were strong enough. After we were weaned, our mother was adopted. Since then, the kind hoomans have cared for us, and we’ve all fully recovered.I’m a playful, smart pup who loves affection and making friends! My perfect home would be with loving, gentle humans who enjoy both adventures and cuddles. It would be even better if I could go with my brother, Snoopie (not posted, but there is a photo of us together)— we make life twice as fun!Due to my small size & docile nature, I (and my bro) tend to get attacked by the other bigger refuge dogs.Loves: Running and playing with my brother, toys, snack sticks, and dog cookies. Energy level: moderate/highI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknown, but rescuer says probably noKids: unknown, but rescuer says probably yes Fears: Big dogs. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash training:  In progress. Please be prepared to continue training me.House trained: Yes. Please show me where to go in my new home.
