Story
Bailey is a beautiful orange‑and‑white senior Brittany who came into rescue as an owner surrender when her family was required to move overseas.  Both great on a leash and trained to an invisible fence, Bailey’s manners are impeccable. As a matter of fact, she is close to perfect.  At 12 years old, she is wise, gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully people‑oriented — the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be near her person. This precious senior girl has so much to offer her new family! Are you an adopter over 65? ✨ Health & Veterinary Care Up to date on all vaccinations Heartworm negative and on monthly preventatives Spayed Has a clear, fluid‑filled cyst on her belly that can be drained at home as needed (vet‑diagnosed) Small eyelid bump that is currently harmless and monitored by her vet-recently evaluated Mild age‑related hearing loss, especially with loud noises (fireworks, gunshots) Training & Behavior Bailey is housetrained and has basic obedience skills. She is extremely well‑mannered: Great with adults, children, dogs, and even cats Leash trained Tarined to a wireless fence system (invisible fence) Does not bark at visitors or other dogs Trustworthy when left loose in the house Loves human companionship and prefers not to be left alone for long periods Her separation anxiety is well‑managed with medication and routine Personality & Daily Life Bailey is a sweet, smart, and deeply loving dog. She enjoys: Fetching and happily returning the ball Riding in the car Exploring the woods Riding along in the farm side‑by‑side Spending her days relaxing near her person Playing with other dogs She currently lives on a farm and does wonderfully with all farm animals. During the day she naps, follows her person around, or lounges nearby while they work. She thrives in a quiet, steady environment and would be happiest with someone who is a homebody or works from home. Ideal Home Bailey will do best with an adopter who: Is home often Wants a calm, loyal companion Appreciates a senior dog with a gentle spirit Can continue her separation anxiety medications Enjoys spending time outdoors or simply relaxing with her human nearby Bailey is a loving, devoted girl who bonds deeply and brings a peaceful, warm presence to any home. Story
Hi! My name is Remi and I am a pocket sized (33 lb) orange and white...almost red...roan Brittany and I'm looking for my forever family. Check out my photos! People always tell me I'm SO handsome. I am 4 years old, neutered, up to date on my vaccines, HW negative (just went through HW treatment), microchipped, and I'm fit as a fiddle. Now that the boring stuff has been covered, let me tell you the good stuff about me . I really like to go for walks. Foster mum says I'm pretty good on a leash. Sometimes I will bark or growl at other dogs when on a walk, but I do go to daycare and get along with everyone there. It's a leash thing. I am very good at basic commands and will sit when asked and will wait for you to take off my leash or feed me etc. I am a sensitive little boy and I am looking for someone who likes to snuggle. I will happily curl up on the couch or your bed with you. I do get nervous around smaller kids and don't like loud/sudden noises, so an adult only home or home with older, considerate kids would be best. I think I'd be great with an active senior or retired couple who are home a lot so they can hang with me! I don't need another dog in the house and would be okay as your only dog. I may be nervous at first, but with your patience and some snuggles, I'm sure we will be the best of friends. So, if you think you're my new person, please fill out an application on-line at https://nbran.org/adopt/adoptionapplication.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process and will be done by your local provincial/state coordinator. This must be completed before you speak to Remi's foster mum. Remi is located in London, Ontario (115 kms/72 miles) from Port Huron, MI but transportation can be arranged up to 2200 kms (1400 miles) with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 160 kms (100 miles). Story
Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Hank and I am approximately 18 months old. When I got to NBRAN, I visited the vet and got all my vaccines and I was neutered. I am heartworm negative and I take my monthly heartworm preventatives like a good boy! I am a very handsome male French Brittany, if I do say so myself. Actually, everyone that meets me says I am very handsome! The only thing cuter than my adorable looks is my bigger than life comedic personality. My foster mom thinks I am hilarious! At 30 lbs., I am a little guy. I can be very shy, but I can also be very loving. At times, I get intimidated by loud noises. I lived in a kennel with a concrete floor and did not play or walk in the grass much. That makes going to the potty on the grass at my foster home confusing for me. I am modest when I do my business, so I like my foster mom to look away and give me privacy. I am almost totally housetrained, but my foster mom lets me wear a belly band to keep me from getting the urge to hike my leg in the house. I am extremely smart and I really like to please my human. I would love a home with a doggie friend that would help me learn the ropes and be my playmate. I have never been around cats, but I do not think I would like them very much! My foster family loves me but wants me to have a family of my very own. I want a home with a fenced backyard to run in, and a doggie door would help me get 100% housetrained (only 10% to go), although it is not a “must have.”  I am more motivated by affection than food, even though I love chicken and pupperoni sticks. Before bed I even like a Milkbone! I walk politely on a leash, enjoy riding in the car and I am not destructive. While I can be reactive to loud noises, I am not particularly scared of thunderstorms. Do you think you would like me to be part of your family? If you have patience and a loving home where I can have fenced yard, I would love to come live with you! My adoption fee is $400 to help offset the expenses associated with getting me (and other fabulous, rescued Brittanys) in excellent condition for a fabulous new home. You do not have to live in Tennessee, NBRAN will transport me up to 1400 miles to my furever home. Please contact Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com to find out more about me!
