What we know: Transferred from an individual rescuer out of Louisiana but dogs were physically in Texas in foster. Three, single dogs who were surrendered from a hoarding situation, so they were housed together but not believed to be related. From the foster: Hello, future human! My name is Sammy and I would like to apply for the position of “Your Loyal Sidekick.” Qualifications include: being adorable, following you everywhere like a tiny fluffy detective, and melting into your lap the moment I realize you’re not a threat and are, in fact, capable of dispensing cheese. Listen, I’ll be honest. I like to sus out new people before committing so I seem like a guard dog with an attitude until you dispense enough of those beautiful baby bels to get me on your side. Gotta make sure you're not a villain, a vacuum cleaner, or worse… someone who doesn’t share snacks. But once I decide you’re safe? Oh boy. Get ready. I become a world-class snuggler with Olympic-level cuddling technique. I will nap on you, next to you, or on any inconvenient surface you need at that moment. I’m also very devoted. If you stand up, I stand up. If you walk to the other room, I’m right behind you asking, “Where are we going? Is there cheese? What’s the vibe?” I’m sweet, loyal, and extremely passionate about my hobbies. Those hobbies are snuggling with you, protecting you from any real or perceived threats… and cheese. Mostly cheese.
