Story
HI - I'M CHARLIE! Am I cute or what? I'm a 1-year-old terrier mix - likely part Westie - in need of a forever home! I was rescued from a California shelter and lucky me to get out of there. I'm now in a foster home loving life. I have the cutest ears and the most adorable face, but the best part of me is my wonderful personality. I am pretty quiet, easygoing, dog friendly and a lovebug. What more could you ask for? I weigh only 10 lbs. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to you in Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
Billy Idol is a 1 year old and 7lb Westie mix who has had a very rough start. Sadly, this sweet boy has spent his entire life living outside in a dirty backyard. His mama was used for breeding, and when he and his sibling got too old to sell, they were discarded. When he arrived at Shelter Hope, Billy was completely covered in ticks and fleas. He had likely been living this way his whole life. It took three baths to get him fully clean, and now he is finally feeling comfortable, probably for the first time ever. Severely under-socialized and timid, Billy had only known life outdoors with his little doggie family. People, affection, and a normal dog routine were all completely unfamiliar and overwhelming for him. With time, patience, and baby steps, Shelter Hope is thrilled to share that Billy has made an incredible transformation over the past month. He has been growing more and more confident and trusting of people every day. His foster tells us he has recently had quite the breakthrough moment! He had initially been avoiding other dogs, but now he happily plays and frolics in the backyard with his foster doggie friends. Billy also enjoys relaxing in his bed with a toy or two and has gotten used to daily brushing, which doesn’t take long thanks to his petite size. He is a very quiet little guy and rarely barks. He especially loves squeaky toys and rolling around in the grass. Now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Billy Idol is ready to discover what it feels like to be fully loved and cherished as a member of the family. With patience and gentle guidance, he will continue to grow in confidence and blossom into the dog he is meant to be! _________ Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Story
LEFT TO GROW UP OUTSIDE IN A BACKYARD, SWEET BOY DESERVES BETTER! Meet Andy Warhowl (AKA Andy Warhol), a resilient little pup who's come a long way, and who's proven to be a true work of heart🎨 Andy’s life didn’t start out easy. He spent his entire first year outside in a dirty backyard with little to no human interaction. His mama was used for breeding, and once Andy and his sibling were too old to sell, they were simply discarded. When he first arrived at Shelter Hope, he was completely covered in ticks and fleas. It looked like he had been living this way his whole life. It took three baths to get him fully clean and feeling comfortable, probably for the first time ever. Despite everything he has been through, Andy has made an incredible transformation. At just 1 year old and 10 lb, this sweet Westie has gone from being frightened of people to absolutely loving affection. He now adores being cuddled, brushed, and petted, leaning into every moment of kindness as if making up for lost time. He is a really sweet and quirky little guy. Now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Andy Warhowl is ready to begin a new chapter. He deserves to know what it means to be truly loved, not as an afterthought, but as a cherished member of a forever family. ----- Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Rubie is a beautiful Westie/Poodle mix, about 9 years old and weighs about 16 lbs. Her previous owners dumped her at a high kill shelter with major medical issues. The shelter took care of a mass removal that she had, along with a hernia and her spay. She had surgery for the cherry eye and has fully recovered. She is doing great at her Foster home, she loves to cuddle and go on walks, follows her Foster Mom around and likes her belly rubbed. She absolutely LOVES car rides, gets along with other dogs and kids. Rubie is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.
