Story
WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. She absolutely loves being petted and is happiest when shes curled up on the couch. While she may be a bit shy at first, she warms up gently with patience and affection. She enjoys playing with her toys and entertaining herself. She feels comfortable in spaces where she can relax and feel included. A nurturing home that values companionship, cuddles, and soft places to lounge would be the perfect match for herWHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Bubble Yum spent her entire life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. When her 'breeders' decided they no longer had a use for her, they planned to discard her. Thankfully, WISE was able to step in and rescue her along with her three puppies, giving them a second chance to experience the love and warmth of a real home. Now shes ready to start that new chapter!Personality: Bubble Yum is still discovering what it means to be a beloved pet after spending her entire life in a puppy mill. She has slowly begun to enjoy simple pleasures-like watching birds out the window, resting by her stuffed animals, and occasionally letting out a little howl when something catches her attention. The quickest way to her heart is through her favorite treats- turkey and cheese. She loves to play with the other dogs she is being fostered with. Bubble Yum has made great strides and continues to blossom with patience and love. The dogs she walks with have a lot of energy and she absolutely loves the excitement. She is house trained and is very consistent using wee wee pads. She enjoys having people over at the house and has started to walk around and come out on her own more confidently. Several different people have held her, and she settled down nicely, relaxed, and clearly enjoyed the attention. With continued positive experiences, she will keep gaining confidence and comfort in social settings.
