Story
Meet Lizzy ❤️ Lizzy is a sweet Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier who is learning how to be a dog for the very first time. She came from a breeder who failed to socialize her, keeping her isolated during the very years when puppies learn how to be dogs. Because of that, Lizzy missed out on so much 💔 When she first came to us, she was very shy and unsure of the world—but she is making beautiful progress every day. She has gone from cowering and hiding to running and jumping to greet her trusted people. Lizzy is still shy and slow to warm up, but when given patience and space, she will come around on her own terms. Watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding ❤️ She’s learning how to play with toys, what affection feels like, and what safety means. Lizzy’s future home: • A home with another confident, friendly dog (same size or larger) who can help show her the ropes • A home with someone who is home most of the time and able to continue building her confidence • A secure, fenced yard where Lizzy can safely explore and build confidence at her own pace • No small animals (Wheaten Terriers are known to have a prey drive) • Adults only, as Lizzy is still skittish and learning to feel safe • A calm, patient environment where she can continue to blossom Lizzy is making up for lost time—learning to play, explore, and trust. She doesn’t need perfection, just understanding ❤️ For the right home, she will be a deeply special companion. This is what rescue is truly about. Lizzy is 6 years old, 27lbs, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She’s in St. Petersburg and her adoption fee is $350. ➡️ www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
Noah’s story began on the streets of Los Angeles, where he was found dragging his back legs and struggling to survive. No one knows exactly what happened to him, but it is clear he has been through more than any dog ever should. Despite it all, Noah’s spirit has never dimmed.   This sweet two to three year old boy was rescued from a local shelter after landing on the euthanasia list. He has some lasting weakness in his back legs, but it does not slow his love for life. Noah gets around on his own and also uses a wheelchair for longer adventures, giving him the freedom to explore and enjoy the world around him.   Noah does have some incontinence, but with a little extra care he is comfortable and content and happily goes potty in the yard. He would thrive in a home with minimal stairs, a fenced yard, and no carpet to help make moving around easier for him.   He is a gentle and affectionate dog who gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats. Playful, loving, and full of heart, Noah brings joy wherever he goes. His easygoing and happy nature would also make him a wonderful companion for a family with children.   Now Noah is in Tampa Bay and looking for his forever home. He is waiting for the family who will see past his challenges and fall in love with the resilient, kind soul he truly is.   If you are ready to give this incredible boy the home he has been waiting for, please apply to adopt at www.compassionkind.org/adopt   ##2267891##
