Story
Can only be adopted in Texas Looking for a trusty sidekick to go on adventures with? A shaggy dog who'll never leave your side and will cuddle up with you to get through the long night? Well, look no further than Maya! This sandy, shaggy, terrier will sweep you off your feet and will make everyday feel like an adventure! Her honey eyes will always be sparkling to see you wherever you go and whenever you get back home! Maya is going to thrive as an only dog and would do best in a home that does not have a lot of doggie traffic coming and going. She likes her quiet life and she loves her person. Like most diva's she is not one to share her toys, people or space! Maya is the type of girl who would love the simply country lifestyle. Sitting on the porch with her person, afternoon strolls on the backyard. Really the quiet, relaxed, laidback kinda gal. Maya is a medium-sized dog (20-59#). Local adoption fee $200 (in TX)

Story
Welcome Angel to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 35-pound Wheatan Terrier. She is not a shedder and will need grooming to stay beautiful. She is a 5-year old dog. She has lived with a double amputee until she now is in need of a new forever home. She would be best in a quieter home and someone that isn’t a social butterfly that wants to have to many people over. She likes her crate but is protective when in it. She bonds deeply and is very sweet to the people she deems to be safe. The Rescue is a scarey place for her because she had a home and was loved and now her world is upside down. She will make the right person a very nice companion animal. She is quiet at the rescue and stays mostly to herself. We don’t think kids would be that great for her due to the noise and commotion. She is currently at the Rescue and she can be adopted to anyone in Texas. The adopter for this girl would need to be close enough for us to deliver her to her new forever home. She is spayed, healthy, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. Her adoption fee is 400. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.

Story
Scruffy, squirrely, smiling Scout! Are you looking for a pup who dances everywhere he goes? A pup with the dreamiest cloud of hair? A pup with a personality to charm the masses? Well, we’ve got our very own Napoleon Dynamite in the building. Just like Napoleon, Scout can be a little shy on the approach, but he was born to be in the spotlight. He loves attention, walks, treats and–more than anything–his people! Recently rescued by a friend of SNIPSA, Scout has wasted no time in bonding with his foster mom. He is her perfect shadow, following her everywhere she goes with enthusiasm. This little busybody also enjoys his leashed walks where he can soak in the sun and feel the grass on his paws. Plus, he’s potty-trained and crate trained, which makes that outside time extra special.  One thing to note about Scout is that he is thought to have been hit by a car at some point in his life, resulting in a luxated hip. He underwent a femoral head ostectomy to repair it, resulting in a slightly higher adoption fee. But don’t let that deter you! He will make a rewarding, GRATEFUL companion to a loving family out there. If you’ve got a soft spot for the downtrodden, take a chance on our special boy, Scout. He is the sweetest dog with a happy, healthy future ahead of him!
