Story
Can only be adopted in Texas Looking for a trusty sidekick to go on adventures with? A shaggy dog who'll never leave your side and will cuddle up with you to get through the long night? Well, look no further than Maya! This sandy, shaggy, terrier will sweep you off your feet and will make everyday feel like an adventure! Her honey eyes will always be sparkling to see you wherever you go and whenever you get back home! Maya is going to thrive as an only dog and would do best in a home that does not have a lot of doggie traffic coming and going. She likes her quiet life and she loves her person. Like most diva's she is not one to share her toys, people or space! Maya is the type of girl who would love the simply country lifestyle. Sitting on the porch with her person, afternoon strolls on the backyard. Really the quiet, relaxed, laidback kinda gal. Maya is a medium-sized dog (20-59#). Local adoption fee $200 (in TX)

Story
Welcome Angel to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 35-pound Wheatan Terrier. She is not a shedder and will need grooming to stay beautiful. She is a 5-year old dog. She has lived with a double amputee until she now is in need of a new forever home. She would be best in a quieter home and someone that isn’t a social butterfly that wants to have to many people over. She likes her crate but is protective when in it. She bonds deeply and is very sweet to the people she deems to be safe. The Rescue is a scarey place for her because she had a home and was loved and now her world is upside down. She will make the right person a very nice companion animal. She is quiet at the rescue and stays mostly to herself. We don’t think kids would be that great for her due to the noise and commotion. She is currently at the Rescue and she can be adopted to anyone in Texas. The adopter for this girl would need to be close enough for us to deliver her to her new forever home. She is spayed, healthy, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. Her adoption fee is 400. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.

Story
Howdy y’all! Tex here. I’m sure you were expecting some big ole’ ruff and tuff type of cowboy, but I’m here to tell you that we come in all shapes and sizes! Owner surrendered through no fault of my own, I am now searching for my forever home. If my stunning good looks weren’t enough to catch your eye, then surely my perky personality will! I’m the happiest boy when in your company! I like to “raise the roof” from time to time, so I hope you won’t mind my funky dance moves. At already a year and a half old, I am house broken and crate trained. My leash manners are as perfect as can be and I get along with just about every dog I meet. Have I convinced you yet? No? Well, what if I told you that I’m not going to get any bigger than I am now? That will sure make traveling with me a breeze! You could just scoop me up wherever you go. As a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix, it’s quite fitting that I am intelligent, loyal, energetic and loving. I’m quite the affectionate bioy and I really enjoy my playtime. I would certainly benefit from lots of toys or even a fellow canine companion in the house to help me burn off some of this extra energy. I would adjust well to most homes so long as I’m provided the tie and patience to get comfortable in my new home. So, if I sound like your dream dog - submit an application to meet me today!

Story
Please contact JoEllen (sagdinfo@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Princess Poppy was such a matted mess when she was "found" that she ended up being totally shaved down.  Poor little girl even lost her schnauzer eyebrows and beard, BUT they are growing back, and she will soon be beautiful!  On top of everything else, shortly after being rescued she was attacked by a bigger dog.  Although she has recovered physically, she has a fear of larger dogs.  We don't know if she had that fear previously or not, but that will need to be a consideration when finding her forever home.  Since feeling better, she has become an expert at her foster mom's dog door and has started playing!  It's been such fun to see her come out of her shell!  And, she has gotten so affectionate with her foster mom.  Although she has always come running when food is involved, she has not looked for or expected affection.  She now loves it when being picked up and cuddled!  She gets along with other dogs around her size (12#).  She appreciates having pee pads available for the times the weather is bad or it's dark outside.  ;-)  She does not appear to shed.  We are estimating her to be about a year old.   Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $250. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories. Our adoption events are held some Saturdays at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Please check our Facebook page for event dates.
