Story
Meet our adorable Gidget!!! This precious girl found herself at Galveston County Animal Control, picked up as a stray. She tried desperately to tell us what happened and how she ended up alone, but sadly we could not understand the story she told. Anyone know a reasonably animal communicator? Gidget would love for us to know her story! What we do know is that Gidget is absolutely adorable!!! She is incredibly friendly and wants to be as close to you as possible, or even in your lap! She is probably just about 2-3 years old and weighs between 45-50 pounds. She LOVES to play fetch, has a very unique run (she almost completely flattens out in her extended stride), and she even likes the kitties! She will be going to the vet and groomer this week so check back for updates.  May 21, 2023, 8:18 pm

Story
Toby is a 40-pound Wheaten Terrier mix who is searching for his forever home. At 3.5 years old, he can be a bit apprehensive around people, but he absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with another one. Toby loves playing fetch, rolling around in the dirt, and treats are a great way to build trust with him. He is an independent dog that would do best with someone comfortable giving him his space. Toby would do best in a home with a large outdoor space where he can stay active and burn off some energy. If you're searching for a companion who enjoys the company of other pups and an active lifestyle, then Toby might be the perfect match for you. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Toby's fee is waived to the right home. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with the foster to set up a meet and greet. We are a foster based RESCUE, not a shelter. All of our dogs are in individual foster homes. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. CAMO rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing small dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 46-5486022 We rescue 800+ animals a year. Story
Pierce is a good looking boy straight from the streets of Houston. He is a wonderful, funny boy when he trusts you but trust is not something that comes easy for him. He has obviously been let down by humans his entire life. He is currently living with our trainer, who is helping him understand that humans can be good and trusted. Pierce is just about 2 years old, 60 pounds and maybe a schnauzer/husky mix. He needs an experienced handler who can continue to help him build h is confidence and trust in humans. Pierce is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Pierce is currently heartworm positive but we will continue to cover treating him through the slow kill method. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this handsome guy, just fill out the appropriate application found at scoutshonor.org.     Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs May 21, 2023, 8:18 pm

Story
Hi! I'm Sophie! I'm one of the newest members in the SHR Family!   What are you doing on Saturday, March 25th? Do you want to meet me? Stop by 3415 Couch Street! I am super happy these guys said they would help me. You see, my mom is not doing well and cannot take care of me. I am a young (2 years old), active girl and my mom is having another big surgery with another big and tough recovery, and because she loves me so much, she wants me to find a home where I get to have fun and be active without accidentally hurting her or my “granny”.   I love other dogs, cats, humans, kids, just everyone! I have been allowed on furniture and love to snuggle, but I don't shed much, so hopefully that’s ok with you:) I am a cute 35 pound schnauzer mix.   I am looking for both a foster and a forever home.  May 21, 2023, 8:18 pm
