Story
Some dogs just need a second chance to show the world who they truly are. Barry is one of them. With his adorable scruffy coat and sweet face, Barry is impossible not to love. When he first arrived at WAG, he needed a little extra care. Thanks to good nutrition, medical treatment, and plenty of kindness, he's grown healthier, happier, and more confident every day. Barry recently spent time with a foster family, and that's where his sweet personality really shined. They described him as playful, affectionate, completely housebroken, easy to bathe, and a very light shedder—making him a wonderful companion to welcome into your home. Now Barry is ready for the one thing he's been waiting for: a family to call his own. In return for your love, he'll fill your days with loyal companionship, happy tail wags, and joyful greetings every time you walk through the door. To schedule a no-obligation meet and greet with Barry, visit wimberleywagrescue.org and complete an application. His best chapter is still waiting to be written.

Story
Noah is a 9 year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier who has been with his family his whole life.  He is older so he can be a little grumpy sometimes and although his former family had small children, he would do better with older childer in the house, althouogh visiting smaller children are fine.  He loves people and can be protective.  He is very bonded with Ellie, his "Little Sister".  His family is going through a devastating illness and spends all their time at the hospital.  They had to make the heartwrenching decision to try to find their beloved pets a better home.    He has had dental work done and teeth removed.  Annual cleaning is recommended.   Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers do not shed but must be regularly groomed.  Fill out an application here:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57447/generic ##2792215##

Story
Update on Sport:  Sport is on yet another antibiotic to try to get rid of a stubborn UTI.   Sport is with a therapeutic foster but we're looking to get him into a more permanent situation.   Sport had to undergo 3 operations to remove bladder stones, may of which were embedded in his bladder lining and urethra.  He is recovering well but still fightin a bladder & urinary tract infection and his kidneys are still affected but he is getting beter every day!  When he came in, Sport weighed 45 lbs.  At his last check up he is 33lbs and can go uo a whole flight of stairs!  He still has a ways to go with his recovery and weight loss, but we hope he will be ready for his forever family in July. Adopter or Temporary Therapeutic Foster Needed for Sport! Sport's owner suffers from dementia. His son intervened on behalf of Sport when he realized the severity of the situation. Sport is morbidly obese. He can barely walk. He has been eating a can of SPAM a day for an undermined amount of time along with dog treats. He needs a foster who can monitor his diet and get him on an exercise schedule. He is UTD on Vaccines, house trained and neutered. But he has severe mobility issues. We need someone who can devote at least 2 months into getting him to a place where he can walk and generally move about. CAN YOU HELP SPORT!!! Story
We picked Shelby up off the side of the road as a puppy and knew right away that she had a place in our home! She answers to: Shelby, Shelby-Sheila, and Chalooby (from Monsters Inc.). She has been with our family through many seasons and life changes, and remained the sweetest baby girl a busy mom could ask for. She matches your energy perfectly and reads a room better than most humans. Unfortunately, our family has experienced a series of challenging transitions over the past year and Shelby is not getting the same care and attention she is used to. After many trials and much deliberation, we are heartbroken to admit that she needs a new home. We insist on sending her with her bedding and bowls for continuity ❤️ If you have a place in your heart and home for our sweet baby girl, we would love to hear from you.
