Story
HSNBA is hosting Meet your Match 6/19-6/20! That means adoption fees on all ready-to-go animals are waived! Please contact them at 830-629-5287 or email adoption@hsnba.org for more information. To see more animals go to hsnba.org! Thank you for opting to adopt! I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.When this sweet angel arrived at HSNBA, she was COVERED in huge matts, hanging down to the floor.... when our Dog Program Manager sat down on the floor to try to remove some of them, she simply melted into him, allowing him to clean up all the mats, almost as if she knew he was trying to help. Not long after one of our volunteers who is a professional dog groomer gave her a proper groom and now she looks as lovely on the outside as she is on the inside. We have not heard a single peep out of her, just those soulful eyes begging for a second chance at a first class life.....After who knows how many years of neglect, it was not surprising to discover she was heartworm positive so she needs a foster (or foster to adopt home) that has a calm place where she can undergo treatment for the heartworms. The shelter covers all costs and is here for you every step of the way! The shelter is too loud, too stressful, and generally too much is happening around here for her to undergo the treatment here, which means we cannot begin treatment until she finds a foster or adopter. Every week that goes by means more damage is being done to her heart and other organs while she is ravaged by these terrible parasites! All of our dogs do, but Calaway really deserves that special someone to get her out of a cage and onto a COUCH and fast!HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.

Please contact JoEllen (sagdinfo@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Meet Jenny! Jenny is a 1-year-old Schnauzer mix weighing 21 pounds, and she is every bit the spirited, intelligent, and entertaining Schnauzer you'd expect! This adorable girl has a big personality packed into her compact size and is always ready to see what adventure the day will bring. Jenny can be a little bossy when meeting new dogs and likes to make sure everyone knows she's arrived. She may bark when introduced to new dogs or unfamiliar situations, but once she's had a chance to check things out, she settles right in and returns to her sweet, friendly self. Because she can be vocal, apartment living is not the best fit for her. Despite her sassy first impressions, Jenny gets along great with all of her foster siblings and enjoys being part of the pack. She absolutely loves people of all ages and sizes and is always happy to soak up attention from her favorite humans. Jenny is an active young dog looking for a family that can keep up with her fun-loving personality. Whether it's walks, playtime, adventures, or simply being involved in family activities, Jenny is happiest when she has something to do and people to share it with. If you're looking for a smart, spirited companion with lots of personality, plenty of love to give, and classic Schnauzer charm, Jenny may be the perfect addition to your family! Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $200. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Jayden is a handsome 2-year-old Schnauzer weighing 21 pounds, and he’s not your typical Schnauzer! While many Schnauzers are known for being vocal, Jayden is surprisingly quiet and easygoing. He's a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being part of the family without demanding all the attention. Jayden gets along wonderfully with all of his foster siblings and lives harmoniously with several other male dogs. While he may occasionally bristle if another male dog is overly pushy, he settles quickly and has no trouble sharing his home and space with others. This smart boy appears to be house-trained and uses the dog door without fail, making him an easy addition to almost any household. He has excellent manners and a calm, friendly personality that makes him a pleasure to have around. Whether you're a single person, a couple, or a family with children, Jayden has the adaptable, loving nature to fit right in. If you're looking for a loyal companion with all the charm of a Schnauzer and none of the excessive barking, Jayden may be the perfect match for you!
