Meet Sprite!Sprite is a 15lb, 18-month-old Whippet mix who came to the shelter as a stray, and she’s been winning hearts ever since. She’s incredibly friendly with everyone she meets and loves greeting new people with a wagging tail. While she’s confident and social with people, she can be easily startled by her surroundings—especially loud or sudden noises—and may need a little reassurance as she takes everything in.This lovable girl enjoys human attention and thrives on companionship. She’s curious about the world around her and has a fun, energetic side that shines once she feels comfortable. Sprite doesn’t seem to mind other dogs and takes new situations in stride with a mix of caution and enthusiasm.If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate companion who wants to be by your side and share lots of cuddles, Sprite may be the perfect match for you.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Story
We adopted Phoebe from the local animal shelter in 2021, she is 4 years old. We would really like to find someone that is a good fit for her, and can better address her needs. Phoebe is a very energetic dog, but she can cuddle next to you on the couch for hours. She is a great dog as long as you’re home and she’s not alone. She has separation anxiety, and her anxiety response is to potty in the house. She only does this when she’s left alone for periods of time, typically she can go 1-3 hours without going in the house when she’s alone. She won’t potty inside if you’re home, it’s only separation. Phoebe is a very anxious dog, and can be quite skittish and fearful of objects. She is scared if something falls off the counter like a piece of paper, or sweeping a broom. Phoebe has lived with another dog before and there were never any problems, while she can be reactive when approached by outside dogs, never aggressive. She’s spent time around kids, not much but never any issues.
