This sweet boy is still coming out of his shell, and it has been incredibly rewarding to watch his personality blossom more each day. Ozzie is both crate trained and potty trained, and he has been doing great with his routines. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. While he can be a little shy at first, once he feels comfortable, his affectionate side shines through. One of his favorite places to be is curled up right in your lap, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Despite a difficult start in life after being abandoned on someone's doorstep, Ozzie has remained gentle, loving, and eager to trust. He is proof that resilience comes in the sweetest packages. Meet Kangaroo! ??Kangaroo is an 8-month-old, 22-pound Basenji/Whippet mix with plenty of personality packed into his little frame! This young guy is curious, playful, and very interested in checking out everything around him. He is especially interested in other dogs and enjoys watching and interacting with them.Kangaroo is also a big fan of swimming pools and seems to think any opportunity to investigate the water is a good one! When he`s not busy exploring, he`s happy to climb right into your lap and settle in for some attention. He`s treat motivated, which should make working on training and learning new things a fun experience for both of you.Because Kangaroo came to us as a stray, we don`t know his history with other animals or children, so proper introductions are recommended. He`s still a young dog with lots to learn, and he`s looking for a home that will give him the guidance, patience, and attention he needs to grow into his best self. If you`re looking for a fun-loving little dog with a big personality, Kangaroo might be your guy!We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Story
Treasure is looking for a retirement home to spend her remaining life. She’s an 8ish year old Lurcher who has lived a tough life, raising countless puppies in horrendous living conditions. She is shy, but full of personality once she’s comfortable. Treasure does have quite a few cancerous mammary masses that will likely grow but our hope is that they will do so slowly allowing her to have some more time to just be loved. The removal for all of them would be extremely involved and painful, so we have elected to remove the largest ones only. Treasure is so deserving of a relaxing, happy ending and we hope that she gets to have it. Treasure is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, dewormed, microchipped, and current on flea/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $100. Hey want to catch the big games ?? I am your girl Just give me a chance to show off my fantasy football team. ! My name is Rosie and I try to keep a Rosey outlook on life. I have had some big changes in my life recently, my one & only owner passed away and I had to come into rescue. I was very sad and nervous at first , but in keeping with my name have made the best of it ! I have been coming out of my shell and really enjoy being around people. I have Sooooo much love to give it just spills out sometimes ! I love to play in the fenced yard and just hang out in the sun. I am very proud of my potty habits and will not balk at the going in the cold weather, like some Iggys do. Foster Mom is pleased to report I have never had an accident in the house. I am a very healthy 10 year old with an excellent bill of health from the vet. Weighing in at about 18 Lbs I am a perfect blend of Italian Greyhound and Chihuahua -- so you get the best of both breeds with me , long legs for running and those adorable Chi ears to communicate with you . I am crate trained but would love to be able to snuggle with you day or night . I love a good walk and have great leash skills. I must admit I am a little of a deva and prefer to be the center of someone's universe and vice versa I would greatly prefer to not have to share a home with another pup and a fence is pretty important to me too. I am a young senior searching for a new lease on life and experiences. Meet Phoebe A sweet 8 Snuggly Iggy with unstoppable spirit ! Phoebe is an 8 yo Italian greyhound who proves daily that a loving heart and determined spirit can outshine any challenge. This very special little girl sustained a spinal injury after being attacked by another dog several years ago, which left her with limited feeling in her hind legs but don’t let that fool you! Phoebe does not believe in slowing down. In her foster home , Phoebe gets around beautifully on smooth surfaces like tile, skillfully using her front legs and gliding along to get where she needs to go. For adventures outdoors or rooms with carpet she happily used her wheelchair, which allows her to explore and enjoy life even more. What Phoebe loves most, though , isn’t movement—- it’s snuggling. She would be perfectly content cuddled under a blanket on your lap, beside you on a couch, or tucked in next to you in bed. Because of her special needs , Pheobe does need a watchful human to make sure she stays safely in place and doesn’t attempt any surprise leaps when curiosity strikes. Pheobe is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and deeply loving. She forms strong bonds with her people and thrives on gentle companionship and reassurance.
