From her foster: Maddi is calm and loves long naps, especially when she can burrow under blankets. When she’s ready to play, she shows her whippet side with quick bursts of energy. She gets along well with other dogs and currently enjoys the company of her canine friend, Rexi, playing on her own terms. Maddi is still working on housetraining and does well with potty pads. Leash skills are in progress, as sudden sounds and movements can be triggering for her. Her ideal home is quiet and patient, with people committed to positive training. With time and consistency, Maddi has all the potential to truly shine.

Story
Cleo is an amazing whippet with a loving and loyal personality. I’ve always adored sighthounds, which led me to bring her home from a breeder at 4 months old. She is now just over 3 years old (birthday: January 31st). Cleo absolutely loves people and bonds very closely—she tends to stick to her person like glue. I’ve worked from home up until recently, so she’s used to having someone around most of the time. She has plenty of energy and loves to run, especially at dog parks. Unfortunately, my new job no longer allows me to give her the level of exercise and stimulation she needs, which is why I’m looking to find her a better-suited home. She’s very affectionate, loves being warm and cozy, and insists on being fully under the blanket when she sleeps. She can get a bit queasy on long car rides and does best when exercised before being left alone for extended periods. If you think you’d be a good fit for Cleo, feel free to reach out.

Once she bonds, she’s all yours, happily sticking by your side through every part of the day. She tends to connect more quickly with women, while men may need to give her a bit of extra time to earn her trust. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines—happy, playful, and full of life! Niabi LOVES to play, and stuffed toys don’t stand a chance in her world—she’ll happily shred them like it’s her full-time job. She’s also got the cutest excitement hops, jumping up in the air when it’s time to eat or go potty. It’s impossible not to smile watching her celebrate the little things. She does great with other dogs and even cats, making her a wonderful addition to a multi-pet home. And when she chooses her person, she loves deeply—staying close, soaking up affection, and giving it right back. Niabi is looking for a patient, understanding home that will let her warm up at her own pace—and in return, she’ll give you a loyal, joyful best friend for life Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
