LIZZIE is an absolutely adorable little girl looking for love. She's an energetic mixed breed sweetheart who loves to play and meet new people. Lizzie appears to be part sight hound, maybe Whippet? Part Beagle? Maybe a little border collie? And heaven only knows what other breeds are in the mix. She's a leggy, high-waisted girl, fully grown at just 28 pounds but a little too thin, she could stand to add 2-3 pounds. It should be easy to add some weight to Lizzie, she's definitely a food enthusiast. Meal time and treat time are two of her favorite times. She loves loves loves playtime with other dogs and really needs a home with another active playful dog her size or larger. She's fine with cats as long as she has a doggie playmate. She loves kids and is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Lizzie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Lizzie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. She tends to connect more quickly with women, while men may need to give her a bit of extra time to earn her trust. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines—happy, playful, and full of life! Niabi LOVES to play, and stuffed toys don’t stand a chance in her world—she’ll happily shred them like it’s her full-time job. She’s also got the cutest excitement hops, jumping up in the air when it’s time to eat or go potty. It’s impossible not to smile watching her celebrate the little things. She does great with other dogs and even cats, making her a wonderful addition to a multi-pet home. And when she chooses her person, she loves deeply—staying close, soaking up affection, and giving it right back.
