Welcome to Mostly Muttz Rescue, Marie! Marie is a little diva with a big personality and a whole lot of love to give! She’s smart, food-motivated, and definitely has a few opinions of her own. When the bigger boys get a little too rowdy during playtime, Marie is quick to appoint herself the fun police, barking to let everyone know when things have gotten out of hand. She’s still building confidence in her new surroundings, but she’s making progress exploring the yard and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. For now, she’s a bit of a velcro girl who likes to stay close to her people. And if she’s feeling uncertain and you pick her up, she has the sweetest way of wrapping her paws around your arm like she’s holding your hand. How can you not fall in love with that? Marie knows which crate is hers, enjoys joining the boys for a game of tug, and is always ready for a meal. In fact, she eats with so much enthusiasm that even a slow feeder can’t quite convince her to slow down! We can picture Marie thriving with someone who enjoys taking her for walks, rewarding her good efforts with a few tasty treats, and ending the day with plenty of snuggles. As her confidence grows, we expect she’ll become more comfortable venturing out on her own, but she’ll always appreciate having her favorite person nearby. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate little companion with a touch of diva attitude and an adorable way of asking for reassurance, Marie might just be your girl! If you’re looking for a dog who believes personal space is highly overrated, Pierre may be your guy. This sweet boy is 100% a Velcro dog. He enjoys playing and exploring, but he also likes to keep tabs on his person and know exactly where you are. And when playtime is over? Pierre is a fantastic cuddle buddy who is more than happy to settle in close. Pierre has a sweet, gentle way of asking for attention, too. He isn’t a loud or demanding guy—he’ll just give you a little “you know you want to pick me up” whimper when he thinks it’s time for some love. And chances are, he’s right. He is crate trained with a little treat encouragement and is doing really well with house training. He’s also been sweet and respectful around the other dogs he’s met, happily fitting in without needing to be the center of everything. And then there are those ears. We’d like to tell you Pierre will eventually grow into them, but we’re beginning to have our doubts. Somehow, they seem to get bigger every day—and they only add to the ridiculous amount of charm packed into this affectionate little guy. Pierre is playful, loving, cuddly and happiest when he can be close to his people. If you’ve been looking for a little shadow with enormous ears and an equally enormous capacity for affection, Pierre might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.
