Story
Coconut is a sweet, energetic ~1-year-old rescue from Hawaii who is ready for his forever home! He’s a friendly, affectionate boy who absolutely loves cuddles, naps, and chewing on his favorite bones. He’s currently attending doggy daycare and doing well in that environment. He’s up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and actively working on house training. Coconut is a playful, high-energy pup who would thrive in a home with a large, securely fenced yard where he can run and explore. He would do best with other similarly sized dogs who enjoy active playtime. He has a strong prey drive and does not do well with small dogs or cats. His experience with children is unknown at this time. Adjectives to describe Coconut: Affectionate, playful, energetic, curious, loyal, cuddly, and spirited. He’s looking for an active home that can give him structure, consistency, and lots of love. In return, he’ll give you endless affection and companionship.

Story
I'm Ginger, a 3-year-old, 43-pound Lab/Whippet mix. I'm a beautiful girl with a shiny black coat and amber eyes. I came into rescue when my elderly owner could no longer care for me; now I'm in a foster home, and my foster mom raves about me! She says I'm sweet, gentle, quiet, and submissive. I'm very affectionate, and I love hanging out with my people. I'm also well behaved: I'm house trained, crate trained, good in the car, and good with all handling. I'm non-destructive in the home, and I sleep quietly through the night. I'm well socialized because I grew up in a home with other dogs, and I love playing with the other dogs in my foster home. I also really enjoy going on walks. It takes me a moment to overcome my initial shyness, but once I feel connected to you, I'll be your friend for life. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you.

Story
Meet Peri.   At first glance, she may look like a Cattle Dog/Heeler mix — freckles, expressive eyes, compact 33-pound frame — but her spirit is something uniquely her own. Peri is just one year old, and while she carries herself with quiet beauty, her early life was marked by hardship and mistreatment at the hands of the very people who should have protected her.   And yet… she is still loving.   Peri has spent the past several months working closely with a remarkable professional behaviorist, and the transformation has been incredible. She has learned that not all hands hurt, that gentle voices exist, and that safety can be real. She now approaches new people and experiences with growing curiosity, though she still carries a healthy caution. Her trust is not given away freely — it is earned — and that is exactly what makes the bond with her so profound.   She is deeply affectionate and incredibly sensitive. While she resembles a Heeler in looks, she is not a bold, bossy alpha personality. Peri is a soft soul. She needs a steady, protective human who will move at her pace, celebrate her small victories, and help her continue building confidence. With patience and kindness, she blossoms. And when she chooses you as her safe place, the loyalty and love she gives back are immeasurable.   Peri adores other dogs and thrives in their company. She has shown no prey drive, and her trainer/foster describes her as so docile and gentle that a respectful cat companion would likely be welcomed just fine. She is leash trained, crate trained, and housebroken — truly a wonderful little housemate who wants nothing more than to be near her person.   A fenced yard would give her the security she enjoys, and a home where she isn’t crated for long nine-hour workdays would help her continue to grow. If you work from home, she would happily sit nearby, offering quiet companionship and the kind of empathetic presence that feels almost human. Peri listens. She watches. She connects.   Her past will not disappear overnight. Healing is not a snap-of-the-fingers process. But for the right person — someone with patience, compassion, and a heart open to earning a once-broken dog’s trust — Peri will be extraordinary. She may not be a carefree Golden Retriever personality, but she will steal your heart just the same… freckles and all.   Peri is special. And the person who chooses her will be special too.   To learn more about adopting Peri, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 14, 2026, 11:43 am

This active, medium to high-energy pup loves fetch and play and would be the perfect adventure buddy. Iris would do well in a home with space to run around and tire herself out, whether that's in a fenced backyard or on long walks in open areas.Iris is a very happy girl who loves having playmates! She does great with other dogs but needs time and space to get to know them, as her excitement level might be overwhelming for more laid-back pups at first. Once she settles in, she loves to play and wrestle with her dog friends and would do well with or without a canine sibling. The barn cat in her foster home comes inside to cuddle and wrestle with her! Iris has done great with children of all ages and loves their energy. She is a typical terrier who loves fetch and enjoys entertaining herself with toys, especially ones she can chew and destuff!Iris is a smart, loving girl who is eager to please. She is fully crate trained and house trained. She happily sleeps in her crate while her fosters are at work and has had zero accidents since coming north. Iris alerts when she needs to potty and walks great on leash, enjoying her daily walks around the neighborhood. This fun-loving girl is ready to find her forever home to love and go on adventures with. Could she be the one for you? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line.
