Story
Kirby is a gorgeous 6 yo scruffy terrier mix, with the most beautiful amber eyes. He is approximately 50 lbs and one of the most photogenic dogs we have at Jelly's Place. Kirby is a happy dog who loves to play with squeaky toys, take walks and relax on the couch with his favorite hoomans. He loves to dig for buried treasure and will let you dress him up in costumes for the different holidays. He is smart, walks great on a leash, is food motivated and eager to please. Kirby can be a little nervous when meeting new people. However, once he knows you, he is loving, affectionate and the best company. Kirby is a staff and volunteer family. One volunteer has called him "the love of your life kind of dog." The ideal family for Kirby would be a single person or couple, with dog experience. Kirby would make a great walking companion, but he's just as happy to lay at your feet, amuse himself with a toy or just relax until you are ready to take a break. Kirby would prefer to be the only animal in the family, but we don't think that is too much to ask. He has so much love to give and will thrive in the right home! . Kirby is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted. Kirby's adoption fee is sponsored by a Jelly Place's volunteer.

Story
Sweet Sabrina is an young terrier mix, who was surrendered by her owners. She is initially shy but warms up quickly to new people and dogs. She was in a family with other small dogs and children, so would be great in a home as a 2nd dog. Sabrina is still a pup, under 1 year, and will need to learn potty training and basic puppy training. Sabrina will be spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated as part of the adoption process. If interested in meeting this pup, please complete an application at www.jellysplace.org. If you already have an approved application on file, feel free to call or email us: 510-621-3493 / info@jellysplace.org.

To apply or see more of Jewel, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/5/14/jewel-bylpa I'm Jewel, a girl with an unknown past who landed at a local shelter as a stray. Call me mysterious ;) I’m having a hard time remembering what was before this, but I'm all about embracing the present and looking forward to a better life! I'm an energetic terrier mix, a sprightly 1 ½ years old, and I tip the scales at a petite 15 lbs! Impressive, I know! Currently, I'm holding down the fort (aka my foster home) alongside a 28lb female dog sibling. I can get along with a friendly small dog in my new family, but you know what? I could also thrive as the shining star, the only pet stealing all the love and attention. Now, about cats – no thanks, that's a hard NO from me. That would be a disaster! When I first left the shelter, I quickly bonded with my foster mom, but here's the surprise … I soon found that my foster dad gives the best belly rubs! I realized he wasn’t so scary after all! I'm a bit of an alert barker when someone new enters the house, but give me some time, a few meet-and-greets, and I'll warm up to them. I'm at my happiest when I'm with my people, and oh boy, am I a snuggly lap dog once I’m comfy. That’s why I’m seeking cool parents who will allow me on the couch! To keep myself entertained, I love playing with toys and chews, and I'm pretty treat-motivated. Food puzzles, snuffle mats – bring 'em on! They help engage my senses during the day since I’m fancy like that! What can I say, I like to keep busy! I’m honing my leash walking skills, am housetrained, and can use a dog door! Yep, that's me, a little smarty! Given my small size, I'd do best with a family with older children. Due to my shyness, I might not make the best impression during a meet & greet, but I really hope that won't deter people from giving me a chance! I'm in search of special adopters who will be understanding and patient, allowing me the time and space to gradually come out of my shell at my own pace. I’m a total love bug when you’ve earned my trust, I promise! Jewel’s Adoption Donation is SPONSORED! Includes - spayed rabies dhpp bordatella and chipped. Jewel is being fostered in SACRAMENTO, CA. Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Story
To apply or see more of Potato, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/12/8/potato Woof, greetings from Potato, your 25 lbs bundle of spunk! Let me tell you all about the fantastic life I'm ready to share with you. First things first, I'm not your average spud – I'm all about action and excitement! Hiking? Yep! Swimming? Absolutely! Playing fetch with a ball or stick? Oh, you betcha! And when the day winds down, I'm all in for some quality cuddle time under the covers. I'm definitely a thrill seeker, but also a snuggle bug. Now, here's the scoop on my intelligence – I'm a smart cookie, easily trainable, and super treat motivated. I'm eager to please, and I'll let you know what I want and when I want it. That's just me being a good communicator, you know? The humans say I’m gonna need a little structure and stable, reward-based training to keep my talkative side in check. I'm a social pup – good with both dogs and people. Now, when it comes to young kids, I'm a tad unsure, but I could likely grow to love them. Just recommend keeping the kitties out of the picture – not my cup of tea. Car rides? Oh, I'm a pro! A good errand runner and always up for a road trip adventure. And here's the magic – no separation anxiety. Leave me alone, and I'll be just fine. Housetrained? You got it! I'm a well-mannered pup ready to get you out of bed and motivate you each and every day! I thrive when I'm out in nature. Daily adventures are my thing, and I would absolutely love a lifestyle that involves getting out into the great outdoors regularly. If you're up for a mix of excitement, companionship, and a whole lot of love, I'm your Potato! Potato is being fostered in FELTON, CA Estimated DOB: 11/1/2021 $150 Adoption Donation - Neutered, up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives Interested in adopting? 1.
