Story
Otey is an approximately 2-year-old terrier mix weighing in at about 21 pounds of pure personality and sweetness. What started as us helping a homeless dog turned into several weeks of fostering, loving, and getting this goofy little guy fully vetted, vaccinated, and freshly neutered — and now he’s ready to find his forever home. ❤️ Otey is: ✔️ House trained ✔️ Extremely cuddly and affectionate ✔️ Funny, talkative, and full of personality ✔️ Great at making you feel like you’re never alone ✔️ Still a little puppy-ish and learning every day He’s also a bit of a scaredy cat with noises and can be an escape artist, so he would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. Off-leash recall is definitely still a work in progress. 😅 Otey has done well in a home environment and really just wants someone to love him as much as we have. He isn’t just going to a home — he’s going to his home. We are asking a $300 relocation/adoption fee simply to ensure commitment from his future family!!

Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Originated from ACCT KL 08313 Meet Madge a beautiful little senior soul with a story that could break your heart, but a spirit that will put it right back together again. Veterinarian believes Madges mouth may have been held closed with a rubber band for a long period of time sometime in her past. Because of this horrific neglect, her teeth severely decayed, and the infection eventually affected her jaw, leaving her with a facial deformity. She recently underwent a full dental procedure and now has just one tiny tooth left but if you think that slows this girl down, Madge would politely disagree. She happily eats her soft food, enjoys her treats very much, and has absolutely mastered the art of reminding you exactly when breakfast and dinner should be served. Her little internal clock is incredibly accurate, and she is not shy about letting you know its mealtime. The most amazing thing about Madge is that she does not live in the sadness of her past. She is happy. Truly happy. She does not appear to be in discomfort, and she spends her days soaking up every bit of love and comfort she can find. Her tail wags, her eyes light up when she sees her people, and her goofy little spunky personality shines brighter than anything that ever happened to her. Madge is the definition of a velcro dog. If you move, she moves. If you sit, she sits beside you. If youre heading to another room, expect your tiny shadow to be right behind you. More than anything, she just wants to be near her people and included in everyday life. Whether its curling up on the couch, snuggling in bed at night, tagging along for car rides, or simply following you around the house, Madge is happiest when she is loved and close to her humans. She is crate trained, doing wonderfully with house training, and is already settling beautifully into home life. Madge is also spayed and social, with a sweet and gentle nature that makes her easy to adore. This precious girl has every reason not to trust the world, yet she chooses affection anyway. Her past may have shaped her appearance, but it has never touched her heart. Madges spirit is soft, joyful, funny, and full of life. She will make you laugh with her sass, melt your heart with her devotion, and remind you daily that healing is possible. Now all Madge needs is the family she has always deserved one that will cherish her for the incredible little dog she is and give her the safe, cozy, love-filled future shes waited so long to find Please visit our website www.wagsrescue.org to learn more about this amazing dog and Wags Rescue.

Story
How cute can one dog be? We say as cute as Billy Ray, our 4-year-old, 10 pound mix of Schnauzer and Wire Hair Terrier. He’s not only cute, though. He’s also playful, energetic, and outgoing. He gets along well with other dogs, but he does not like cats. Because he is so small, we prefer that he not go to a family with children under 10 who don’t always know their own strength when playing hard. This boy is a true delight! (posted 3/29/26, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **June 2, 2026, 10:25 pm

Story
Please read the bio in full for answers to common questions. If you have a question not covered here, please email info@seniordoghaven.org. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/. Because all of our dogs live in foster homes, meet-and-greets are scheduled only after a completed application is received. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance of Mays Landing, NJ so our volunteers can conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Brodie 🐾 Brodie is an 11–12 year old, 8-lb terrier mix. He is fully housebroken, leash trained, and absolutely loves being with his person. He enjoys walks, cuddling, and spending time close to his human. He sleeps in a dog bed and would do fine in a home without a yard. That said, Brodie is a behaviorally complex dog and will require an experienced adopter. He has a history of biting and is not appropriate for homes with children. He can be nippy, especially if: • He is startled • He is forced to do something uncomfortable or painful (he has arthritis) • He is having his eyes handled (dry eye care is part of his routine) • He feels pressured or overwhelmed Because of this, nippy dog experience is absolutely required. He needs someone who understands canine body language, respects boundaries, and is committed to management and structure. Brodie is also sensitive to loud noises and can seem fearful of certain situations. He appears to carry some past stress, but with routine, predictability, and calm handling, he does well. His ideal home is quiet, consistent, and willing to follow clear guidelines. He is: • Good with dogs and cats • Not suitable for children • A cuddle-loving couch companion • Sensitive but sweet when he feels safe Medical notes: • On dry eye medication, Rimadyl, and Gabapentin (~$50/month) • Stairs are not recommended Brodie is not a beginner dog. He is not a casual adoption. He is looking for the right experienced home that understands that his needs come first. If you love seasoned, sensitive little dogs and have experience with dogs who need structure and respect, Brodie may be your guy. 🐾
