Say hello to Ember! She is housetrained. Ember has been around children of all ages in the past and did well. She also has been around cats in the past and has displayed a prey drive toward them. Due to this, Ember should not go to a home with cats. She has had mixed experiences with other dogs in her past two homes. She grew up around small and large dogs and did well; however, when meeting new dogs, she was vocal. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Ember would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep her entertained. She loves squeaky toys and attention! Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about training and suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
