Story
DALE AND HER BEST FRIENDS WILL ATTEND A MEET AND GREET ADOPTION EVENT AT PET EVOLUTION AT 1074 GRAND ON SUNDAY JANUARY 18 12:30 -2:30. WE COULD ALL USE A PUPPY CUDDLE RIGHT NOW. YOU MIGHT EVEN WANT TO HAVE A PERMANENT PUP TO CUDDLE. COME FOR A CUDDLE AND MAYBE GO HOME WITH A FRIEND FOR LIFE. Dale is a fun, sociable, peppy little girl who plays hard and loves her people. Someone gave Dale to a young woman who lived with her parents. When her parents said no to the puppy a visiting community health worker, who just happens to be a PUP volunteer, agreed to take the puppy and care for her until we could transport her to Saint Paul and her new life as a city pup. We are making a lot of guesses about Dale. We have no idea who mommy or daddy are and we are guessing at how old she is. The vet aged her at 12 weeks on January 12. She is a short stocky little kid with a scruffy face and wiry hair. We are guessing at breed here and think she could be a wire hair terrier X, which is unusual for the area she comes from. Dogs from the area who have DNA testing often have 20 or more breeds and they nearly always have some shepherd, husky, cattle dog, Aussie, and even the largest pooches have a bit of Chihuahua. We estimate that Dale will be a mid-sized dog when full grown. But her people should be prepared to love her if she is larger or smaller than predicted. Dale is a hard player with other dogs and appears to have a bit of a Napoleon complex. She expects to end up with good toys. She has not challenged the authority of the adult dog in the foster home, but she rules the roost with the other puppies. She is making good headway on house breaking but she is not there quite yet. In her foster home she is using papers during the work day and at night and is taken outside regularly. She knows is going out to take care of business AND play. The early months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. Adopters should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations, hearing vacuums, trucks, and rattling garbage cans, meeting people who are clapping, laughing, with hats, tools, bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. If good canine social skills are not learned and maintained during these early months, it will be very difficult to ever master them. Puppy play dates, trips to the pet store, puppy socialization classes and later, obedience classes are particularly important. If all this doggie time and involvement seems like a good idea, you are up for a puppy! As always, a tired dog is a good dog. Puppy has been vet checked, is vaccinated and de-wormed. She will need two additional puppy vaccinations plus rabies at the adopter’s expense. We do place puppies outside the metro area if a firm plan for the alter surgery is in place; we do not ship. Her required alter surgery is covered by the adoption fee if it is done at 6 months at the PUP clinic. We require that she be altered at 6 months. If you are at least 21 years old and everyone in your household is on board with adopting a puppy, CALL 651-645-4370 between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm and we will return your call within 24 hours. We are pretty slow at responding to e-mail. Renters must provide proof that you are allowed to have a puppy. If you currently have a companion dog or cat please be prepared to provide a vet reference prior to adoption if requested.

Tiny Tim is a 6-month-old bundle of happiness with a resilient heart and a playful, goofy personality. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Doty! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 This adorable 1-year-old female  Jack Russell Terrier is as sweet as can be and ready for a brand-new start. Arriving in December, Doty and her little buddy Tiny Tim (also available for adoption) were sadly kicked out by their former family, but brighter days are ahead for this lovable girl. Doty is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. She’s about 12 pounds of pure charm and won’t get much bigger — the perfect size for a lap snuggle or an outdoor adventure! She’s lived with kids, cats, and all kinds of chaos, taking it all in stride with her gentle and affectionate nature. This smart little girl will thrive in a home that understands her breed’s active spirit — a fenced yard is a must for this curious hunter at heart. Doty is loving, kind, and so ready to leave her rough start behind and find a forever family who truly deserves her.
