Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.NJ Daisy is in NJ looking for a foster or adopter. Looking for a loyal best friend? Meet this sweet little shadow! This beautiful girl may be a little shy when you first meet her, but don't let her timid nature fool you. With a little patience, gentle encouragement, and lots of love, she blossoms into one of the most devoted companions you could ever ask for. Once she trusts you, she's the definition of a Velcro dog. She loves being close to her people and will happily follow you from room to room—even if you're just making a quick trip to the bathroom! At bedtime, she's perfectly content curling up on the bed and sleeping peacefully by your side. Because she's naturally skittish, new experiences can be intimidating at first. Strange noises or unfamiliar objects may send her looking for a safe place to hide. The wonderful thing is that she's already shown how quickly she can gain confidence. For example, she was initially frightened by the robot vacuum, but after watching it for a few minutes from the safety of her foster dad's side, she realized it wasn't scary at all and calmly relaxed. With patient introductions and positive experiences, she continues to grow more confident every day. She's wonderful on a leash once she's comfortable with her handler, but because fear can cause her to bolt, she'll need an adopter who is committed to keeping her safe. Secure handling, a properly fitted collar or harness, and extra caution around doors and during car rides are essential while she continues to build confidence. She also enjoys having canine companions, especially dogs with calm, respectful personalities. Very energetic dogs that rush into her space can overwhelm her, so she'd do best with a moderate-energy dog who will give her time to settle in and become friends. This sweet girl has already made incredible progress in foster care, and it's been so rewarding to watch her personality shine. She even has a playful side and loves hopping up onto high places or greeting her favorite people with happy little jumps. What she's really looking for is someone who understands that love takes time. If you're willing to let her move at her own pace, you'll be rewarded with an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be loved—and who will love you right back with her whole heart. Daisy is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. She has will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. Hier adoption fee is $500 Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 16, 2026, 11:02 am
