Story
Meet Toby, a 6-month-old brindle, wiry-haired terrier mix who made the journey from Alabama looking for his forever home! 🐾🤎 With that scruffy coat, handsome brindle coloring, and a face that looks like he’s always got a little bit of mischief planned, Toby is pretty darn hard to resist. At 6 months old, Toby is ready to jump paws-first into family life! He’s at a great age for adventures, playtime, walks, learning new things, and discovering all the perks that come with having humans of his very own. And really… who can resist a scruffy terrier? That hair practically comes with its own personality. 😂❤️ Toby, like all Happy Life Animal Rescue pets, will be neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and medical care before heading home. Ready to add a little scruffy charm to your life? Head to www.happylifeanimalrescue.org to register for adoption, then come meet Toby and see if this handsome Alabama boy belongs with you! 🐶✨

Story
Meet Earline, a 4-month-old wire-haired terrier mix who made her way from Alabama looking for a forever home! 🐾🖤🤍 With her adorable black-and-white coat, perfectly scruffy hair, and sweet little face, Earline has that irresistible “tiny old lady trapped in a puppy’s body” look—and we are completely here for it. 😂 Earline is as sweet and loving as she is cute. She’s ready for all the good things puppyhood has to offer: playtime, adventures, learning the ropes of family life, and plenty of love along the way. And after a busy day of being ridiculously adorable, we’re pretty sure she’ll be happy to settle in and enjoy some quality time with her people. ❤️ Earline, like all Happy Life Animal Rescue pets, will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and medical care before heading home. Ready to add a little scruffy Southern charm to your family? Head to www.happylifeanimalrescue.org to register for adoption, then come meet Earline and prepare to fall for this sweet Alabama girl! 🐶✨

Story
Senior Daffodil has been with us a couple months and is hoping to find a forever home. She’s a sweet but quirky girl who can be head-shy and take time to warm up, but lovable and cuddly once she does. She is very food motivated and knows how to work the big sad brown eyes to get you to share your meals with her. She has quite a few medical issues that don’t bother her at all and are being managed with medication- heart disease, some liver and pancreatic lesions that are suspicious looking, and suspected diabetes insipidus (not normal insulin-dependent diabetes, this is a brain issue that causes her to drink excessively) she’s about 12 years old so we don’t know how long she will be around but she’s looking at quality over quantity at this point. She takes her pills easily in food and is on twice daily injections which she is very tolerant of and stops her excessive obsessive water drinking. She’s fine with most other dogs though has a little bit of a bossy terrier personality at times and does better with dogs more her size and bigger than tiny ones. She’s about 25lbs and some kind of old fashioned scruffy Benji terrier mix with a low maintenance coat that does shed and doesn’t require much grooming. We would love for Daffodil to live out her life as a beloved family member, be it months or years. Please email njwoof@cs.com to meet her in Northern NJ We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East, Morris Plains, NJ.
