Story
Winston is a sweet, scruffy little 2 legged dog who is about 1 year old. I’ve only had him for a few months, so I’m unsure of his history before that, but he has been a loving companion during his time with me. He is shy at first, but once he’s comfortable he shows his fun, energetic personality. Winston has three legs, but it absolutely doesn’t slow him down — he runs, plays, and explores just like any other dog. Winston has met a few other dogs and has done well with them. He has also met a few cats and does fine (though they don’t always appreciate him trying to play!). However, he can be leash reactive and may bark at other dogs (sometimes people) on walks, if too close. slow introductions and continued training will be helpful. Off leash he seems to be completely fine though. Because he is small, he is still very manageable on leash. He is kennel trained and about 80–90% potty trained.

Story
Penny Lane came to us from the Rio Grande Valley in South TX. She is just the sweetest little girl. Her tail is always wagging, showing her gratitude. She adjusted quickly to life in her foster home. Her favorite place to be is a cozy dog bed or sitting on your lap! Even her snoring sounds are adorable. In her foster home, she’s been very friendly with the dogs she has met. She’s working hard on basic training but will need some support with leash training and potty training. She does great in her crate. Penny Lane is under 15 lbs and estimated to be around 1 year old. She is almost ready to be adopted, so fill out our application now to get pre-approved! www.savingsouthtexas.com/adoptables

**Courtesy Post** Petey is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with networking and placement. All inquiries should be directed to the Pflugerville, Texas shelter to Jessica at JLilley@pflugervilletx.gov Visit their website at https://www.pflugervilletx.gov/ ** Petey is a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix who has unfortunately been returned to our shelter three separate times. Each return has been due to behaviors that are very consistent with his breed—high energy, strong prey drive, reactivity, escape attempts, and anxiety in stimulating environments. While Petey has many wonderful qualities—he is affectionate, intelligent, quick to learn, and thrives with routine—his adopters have repeatedly been unprepared for the level of management and structure a Jack Russell requires. Petey has shown he is capable of learning quickly (leave-it, go-to-bed/place, quiet, walking manners, etc.) and does well with calm structure. He is affectionate with people, enjoys walks, and can settle nicely after proper exercise. Like all JRT’s he needs a securely fenced yard. This little guy needs a lot of exercise and training. Hopefully his new owner will not be gone all day. Petey is vaccinated and neutered. He’s very healthy and heartworm free. If you are interested in this little guy, please contact Jessica Lilley at JLilley@pflugervilletx.gov

**Courtesy Post**Larry is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with placement. All inquiries should be directed to Larry’s owner at tpontiff19@gmail.com ** Say hello to Larry. He’s about a year old and is in great physical condition. He’s neutered and vaccinated. Larry needs another home. He’s not real fond of other dogs so being an “only child” will be right up his alley! He will be able to have all the love and attention. Larry is still so young that he is going to need a lot of attention and training. He needs a patient owner and someone who is willing to be kind and loving with him. His new owner needs a securely fenced yard. No electronic fencing, and no wrought iron unless it is screened. If you are interested in Larry, you will need to go to RussellRescue.com and fill out the online adoption application. Larry is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with placement. All inquiries should be directed to Larry’s owner at tpontiff19@gmail.com His owner is asking a small rehoming fee. Larry lives in Austin, Texas and his new owner will need to drive there to get him.
