Story
Meet Nala! 🐾 Nala is a Wirehaired Terrier Mix who’s looking for a loving home, a long-term rescue placement, or a sanctuary where she can share her joyful and playful spirit. Despite having some medical needs, this sweet girl is full of life and happiness 🙂 Nala came into rescue with diabetes and EPI, which is easily managed with two insulin shots and a special supplement with her meals twice a day, which helps keep her in great shape and ready for fun! **Her care costs $400/month** Nala adores playing with kids, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is perfectly fine with cats. She’s a versatile companion who can fit into various households. Nala’s ideal placement can take many forms: a forever home ready to embrace her needs, a long-term rescue committed to her ongoing care, or a sanctuary that can provide her with stability and love. She has so much to offer and deserves a second chance to thrive. Nala is fostered in Eleva, WI. Interested in learning more about Nala? Visit www.tailsofhopewi.org to explore adoption or contact us directly at adopt@tailsofhopewi.org if you’re a rescue or sanctuary able to help. We’d be happy to discuss her needs and provide more information! Please note donations using the SPONSOR ME tab on PetFinder will not go to Tails of Hope-WI.

Story
Hello, my name is Stu and I'm a male 1-year-old jack russell terrier. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, neutered, and soon to be microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Friendly, Quiet Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I came to CRHS on a transfer from Texas with my brother Lenny. Life in the shelter has been a little scary for us, but we're making progress every day! I would appreciate an owner that will go slow and take things at my pace. Once I get to know you I'll be a friend for life! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 5/10 Housetraining Status: I have been good at keeping my kennel clean, however it may take me some time to adjust to the schedule in my new home. I should do well in a home: I am required to go to a home with children 5 years and older. I should do well with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. Staff at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Hanging out with my brother Lenny and eating yummy snacks. Things I need work on are: Confidence building, basic commands, and walking on leash Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $150 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

He behaved well when we took a walk around Myrick Park and the adjacent trails. He was excited by new smells and seeing new people. Lenny did well in the house, but was a little scared at first because it was a new environment. He adjusted after about half and hour and was excited to chill out. He also really enjoyed treats on his day out!" "Lenny did amazing. He’s such a sweet and fun dog. He did really well with only going potty outside. He was a little nervous being in a new environment but warmed up really quickly. He’s a perfect mix of calm and playful. I hope he’s adopted soon." "Lenny did very well. He does great on a leash. Very well behaved just a little nervous of new people and new surroundings. I hope he finds a great home! Sweet guy!" "He's an extremely kind and curious dog. He roamed around and sniffed everything possible both on our walks and in the yard. He hates flies as much as I do, too." Hi there, I am Toby. I am a 10 year old Yorkie/ Cairn Terrier Mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Gentle. Chill, Friendly Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I am a small guy who just wants to play and cuddle. I still love to play tug a war and I don't let my age slow me down. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 4/10 Housetraining Status: I am housetrained, however as I go to my new home I may need a few days to get used to our routine together. I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with other dogs with proper introductions. I should do well in a home with cats. I would do best in a calmer home so all kids in my forever home would need to be 8+. My favorite activities are: I love to play tug a war and cuddle up with my people.
