Story
Covey is an energetic 2 year old, 40lb, Mini Aussie/Wirehaired Pointing Griffon/Poodle mix located in Placerville,CA. He is incredibly loving and just wants to be at your side at all times. He is intelligent, very willing to please, knows basic commands, and would excel if someone took the time to do structured training with him. He wants nothing more than to make you happy, he just needs clear guidance on how to do that. His personality most closely mirrors an Aussie (of which he is 50%), but with a fun beard and hair that you can cut to make him look like a different dog whenever you feel like! He LOVES kids, but has a hard time staying out of their bubble - he really likes to kiss! He has proven to be exceptionally patient with toddlers, but they need to be firm in their footing or his love could knock one over. He has lived with dogs and cats, and has the same “bubble” problem. He just really wants to be best friends with everyone, but can be a little overwhelming with his love and play style. This also shows up when meeting new dogs. His first instinct is to jump on them and play, which most dogs find inappropriate. Even though he loves playing with other dogs, I think he would be great as an only dog, too. He really doesn’t like being separated from his family and whines when he is. He has not been destructive (with the exception of some random little things here and there) and has graduated from being crated, but will still cry to express his sadness. In the house he is pretty easy going. He just wants to be within eyesight of you. He is happy to lay at your feet or follow you around to watch you adoringly. There is no task too boring if you’re doing it! I really think that he would blossom with someone that wants to be showered with love and admiration. He is the sweetest dog that truly wants nothing more than your attention and affection. There will be an application, home visit, and rehoming fee required.
