What we know: Litter of 10 puppies transferred from Levelland Animal Friends in Texas. Prior to rescue, the puppies were living in extreme heat in a very small outdoor enclosure while battling fleas and flies. They arrived in Colorado at 8 weeks of age, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and had not yet been spayed or neutered

Jersey is the definition of a gentle soul.
This gorgeous 8-week-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix has a rich chocolate-brown face with the sweetest little white spot on the top of her head that makes her easy to recognize. She's absolutely beautiful, but it's her calm, thoughtful personality that really makes her stand out.
While her siblings are usually the first to jump into a new adventure, Jersey likes to take a moment to watch. She'll happily sit back, observe what's going on, and then join in once she's decided it's worth checking out. It's a quiet confidence that makes her such an easy puppy to be around.
She's wonderfully go-with-the-flow. Jersey always knows where her people are, but she doesn't need to be in the middle of everything. If you're busy around the house, she's perfectly content to relax nearby with a favorite toy or chew bone, keeping one eye on you while entertaining herself.
She's already sleeping through the night in a kennel with her siblings and has learned that her kennel is a safe, cozy place. Throughout the day, she'll often wander in on her own when she's ready for a nap, making her an easy puppy to settle into a routine.
Jersey is also picking up potty training beautifully. With frequent trips outside and gentle reminders, she's learning exactly what's expected of her and continues to make steady progress every day.
Jersey has a quiet, steady presence that's hard to put into words. She doesn't demand the spotlight, but somehow she ends up capturing your heart anyway. She'll thrive with a family looking for a loyal companion who is happy to join in on adventures but is just as content relaxing by your side at the end of the day.
