Story
Pecan - 23487 - Kennel 58 - Arrived October 17, 2026, as a stray - American Pit Bull Terrier mix - brown and white - male - Approximately 1 year old - 50 lbs (estimated adult weight 52-60 lbs) - Will be neutered prior to adoption - Up to date on vaccines - Heartworm negative
Pecan is a very sweet boy, and he is really cute. He has a bright white coat with chocolate-brown patches around his eyes and ears, a white blaze down his face, and tall, perky ears that seem to catch every sound. His hazel-amber eyes and wide, open smile make him impossible to resist.
Pecan arrived at Cobb Animal Services as a stray on October 17, 2026. We don’t know where he came from, but at approximately 1 year old and 50 pounds, he is a young dog with his whole adult life ahead of him. Based on his size and lean, leggy build, we estimate he’ll fill out to around 52 to 60 pounds, and the person who adopts him gets to watch him grow into it.
Pecan is high energy, and that spark is a gift for the right person. He knows sit and lay down, so he is already eager to learn, and with a patient teacher he will happily pick up everything else. A young dog with this much enthusiasm will turn every walk, game, and adventure into something to celebrate.
Pecan is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be neutered before he goes home. A kennel isn’t where a sweet, bouncy boy like Pecan belongs. He is ready for a person who is excited to see what he’ll do next. Come meet Pecan in kennel 58.
