Story
Meet Ripley! Ripley is an approximately 7 year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer mix who is now looking for a loving forever home. She was found running loose on Anna Cade Drive on 3/7/26 and, sadly, no one came forward to reclaim her. Now Ripley is ready for a fresh start with a family who will cherish her in her golden years. Ripley is a gentle, calm, and incredibly sweet girl who has quickly won the hearts of the shelter staff. She enjoys meeting new people and happily accepts pets and attention from anyone willing to share a little love. She also walks nicely on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for relaxed strolls and quiet time with her people. Because Ripley is still new to the shelter, we are still learning how she does with other dogs. If you currently have a dog at home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure everyone gets along well. Ripley's adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination, and boosters are to date. She did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment is sponsored. If you have any questions or concerns about Ripley's heartworm status, please feel free to ask RAC staff. If you're ready to give this sweet girl the loving home she deserves, please submit an adoption application here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Ripley may have a little silver on her muzzle, but her heart is full of love and ready for her next chapter. All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. March 18, 2026, 4:12 pm
