Meet Tozi She is a Xolo mix who came from horrible conditions of a backyard breeder in Alabama. She takes a small bit to warm up to new people, holding true to the Xolo breed. So an understanding person is the best fit for her. Once warmed up, she is the sweetest girl there is and has so much love to offer. She does also have some vision impairments but that does not affect her sweet personality once warmed up! Skin care is pretty simple with her and so does loved to be oiled/exfoliated She is Up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, Heartworm Negative and on Heartworm Prevention. She is also- House Trained Crate Trained Great Leash manners Has a good handle on Basic Obedience commands Leave-it, and Kennel are pretty solid as well She will be best as an only dog or with someone who has experience with dogs and has a dog her size as she does offer some resource guarding tendencies but can be managed with proper integration. Good with children over 10 years of age who are respectful

Macky Mack Mack came to us and landed with one of our awesome fosters at the end of March. At the time of his intake he had almost no hair on his body. He had lived outside on a lanai with minimal care and interaction for the majority of his life. Fast forward a few months and he's a little spitfire he is a little shadow and loves nothing more than to be with his people. Mack is estimated to be about 1-1.5 yrs old and is a chihuahua mix - perhaps a little papillon there too. He loves other dogs, knows how to fall into his pack spot very well and learns very quickly. He is left out during the day with no, well minimal destruction... paper towels, socks, perhaps a shoe are fair game! He gets you in the habit of keeping things picked up and put away pretty quickly! He is still in his puppy stage for the most part so playing with his mouth, jumping, needing to hear "no more than once are still in his day to day activities, but you won't find a better cuddler or side kick that will follow you everywhere! He is only about 15-20 lbs, so he's a little guy! Mack LOVVEEESS cats. But that love includes a bit of racing, tackling and snuggle love so any future kitty siblings must be willing to accept his version of love! He is a little skittish with new people so he will need a family with the patience to help him adjust. He plays rather rambunctiously and does jump some so we think he would do best with older kids. Mack's awesome foster has spent the last two months giving him the love and care that he needs and we are so impressed with the progress he's made. He isn't ready to be adopted today, as he still needs additional routine vet care, but he will be ready to go home soon!! Little Lucky This cute little guy truly lives up to his name, Lucky. His owner surrendered him after he was found in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Shortly after, we found out he needed an expensive heart surgery and thanks to a grant from The Lichter Fund at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital, Lucky was able to receive the life-saving operation The surgery was highly successful and Lucky has made a complete recovery. The hole in his heart is completely closed, he no longer needs heart medication and he is ready for his forever family Lucky is very smart and learns new tricks quickly. He likes to run and play but also likes to curl up on the couch with his person. He may take a little while to warm up to you, but once he does, he will make a great companion and teeny tiny guard dog He loves dogs, treats, and belly rubs. While he would love a fenced yard, he is also happy going on regular walks At just about a year old and only 14 pounds, Lucky is the perfect size. We think he is a Chihuahua & Dachshund mix, but his foster mom thinks he is part Jack Russel Terrier and loves his beautiful coloring and adorable white spots. Lucky is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and in the Clearwater/Tampa area.
