Story
Meet Tona, a beautiful 5-month-old Xoloitzcuintli (Xolo) with a bright spirit and a heart full of devotion. Tona is everything you’d expect from this remarkable breed—happy, energetic, and wonderfully alert. She takes her job of loving and looking out for her people very seriously. While she may be a little shy when you first meet her, give her a little patience and kindness and you’ll quickly discover just how deeply she bonds. Once you’re in her circle, you’re there for life. This sweet girl loves to cuddle and will happily curl up beside you after a day of play. She’s the kind of companion who wants to be wherever you are—your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your loyal best friend. Her protective nature comes from a place of love, and she thrives when she feels safe and connected to her family. Tona would do best in a home with a secure yard where she can safely explore, stretch her legs, and burn off some of that joyful puppy energy. After a good romp outside, she’s more than ready to settle in close and soak up affection. If you’re looking for a devoted, intelligent, and loving companion who will grow into an incredible lifelong partner, Tona is ready to fill your home with warmth, loyalty, and endless cuddles PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $500 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org. ##2660597##

Story
Meet Nacho a Small Dog. Big Attitude. Even Bigger Heart. At just 1 year old, Nacho may be pint sized, but he packs a whole lot of personality into his tiny frame. Found as a stray, he is now on the hunt for a forever home that understands the classic Chihuahua charm a little sass, a lot of loyalty, and a whole bunch of I run this place energy. True to his breed, Nacho is alert, smart, and incredibly devoted once he decides you are his person. He might give you a skeptical side-eye at first he has got standards, okay but once you are in his inner circle, he will follow you like a shadow and protect you from rogue leaves, suspicious delivery people, and possibly your own reflection. What Nacho brings to the table, 6 pounds of pure determination, a bark that says I may be small, but I’m in charge, velcro dog tendencies lap required, cuddles mandatory and a bonus side eye and dramatic flair at no extra charge. Nacho gets along well with other respectful small dogs, but he is not afraid to let the big dogs know who is boss. He would thrive in a home where he can be the star of the show or at least co captain. Due to his tiny size and bold spirit, he may do best with adults or older kids who understand Chihuahua manners. This boy attaches himself to one person and needs to go to a one owner home. Nacho is spicy, snuggly, and ready to upgrade your life with equal parts comedy and cuddles. Come meet himbut be warned once he chooses you, there is no going back. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter at 863 324 5227 to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30 to 6 Tuesday through Friday, Saturday from 10:30 to 4 closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month.
