Story
Meet Nacho a Small Dog. Big Attitude. Even Bigger Heart. At just 1 year old, Nacho may be pint sized, but he packs a whole lot of personality into his tiny frame. Found as a stray, he is now on the hunt for a forever home that understands the classic Chihuahua charm a little sass, a lot of loyalty, and a whole bunch of I run this place energy. True to his breed, Nacho is alert, smart, and incredibly devoted once he decides you are his person. He might give you a skeptical side-eye at first he has got standards, okay but once you are in his inner circle, he will follow you like a shadow and protect you from rogue leaves, suspicious delivery people, and possibly your own reflection. What Nacho brings to the table, 6 pounds of pure determination, a bark that says I may be small, but I’m in charge, velcro dog tendencies lap required, cuddles mandatory and a bonus side eye and dramatic flair at no extra charge. Nacho gets along well with other respectful small dogs, but he is not afraid to let the big dogs know who is boss. He would thrive in a home where he can be the star of the show or at least co captain. Due to his tiny size and bold spirit, he may do best with adults or older kids who understand Chihuahua manners. This boy attaches himself to one person and needs to go to a one owner home. Nacho is spicy, snuggly, and ready to upgrade your life with equal parts comedy and cuddles. Come meet himbut be warned once he chooses you, there is no going back. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter at 863 324 5227 to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30 to 6 Tuesday through Friday, Saturday from 10:30 to 4 closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month.

EXERCISE NEEDS: Daily Workout EASE OF TRAINING: Eager FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Loves Everyone PLAYFULNESS: Semi-Pro FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Friendly LEASH MANNERS: Pulls Sometimes Meet Doc: The Ultimate People-Person! Named after the kindly inventor from Fraggle Rock, our Doc is a spunky little Chihuahua with a heart far bigger than his body. Just like his buddy Sprocket, Doc is sweet, playful, and wonderfully goofy, but his true specialty is his absolute devotion to humans. In fact, Doc loves people so much that he’s become a bit of a "Houdini" just to find a lap to sit in! Whether it’s climbing a chain-link fence or digging a tunnel worthy of a Fraggle, Doc’s only goal is to find a friend to snuggle. Because of his impressive escape-artist skills, he’ll need a home where he isn't left unattended in the yard—but honestly, with his charming personality, you won’t want to leave his side anyway! He is fantastic with other dogs and will literally jump right into your arms to shower you with kisses the moment he sees you. If you’re looking for a loyal, "gravity-defying" companion who thinks you are the center of the universe, Doc is ready to invent a brand-new life with you!

Stella is Very loving when she feels safe but can be aggressive if she feels uncomfortable. Is not house trained, is neutered and has no health issues. She does have some behavioral concerns and is the main reason I cannot care for her. I am hoping she can go to someone who can give her the support she needs and that I cannot. Please reach out to me with any questions. Looking to rehire as soon as possible.

Story
Kobe needs a little time to warm up but once he does he is your best friend and a great lapdog. He would do best with a dog a little bigger than him because he does play rough. Not good with cats. He is crate trained and house trained. No small children he would do best in a home as the only dog or with one other dog.

Story
Meet Zipper! Zipper is a spirited 7-month-old white and tan Chihuahua mix with a whole lot of spunk packed into his low-rider frame! This energetic pup loves to zip around the play yard, proudly carrying a toy and inviting his siblings—and even his mom—into a lively game of chase. Zipper is a happy-go-lucky guy with a zest for life and a heart full of love. He gets along great with other dogs, but he’s not a fan of cats. Because of his high energy and playful nature, Zipper would do best in a home with children aged 15 and up. He’s available for adoption now and ready to bring joy, zoomies, and snuggles to his forever home!
