Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Marble. I’m a shy, soft-hearted girl who’s still discovering just how safe and fun the world can be. I may not show my full personality right away, but once I feel comfortable, my sweet and playful side starts to shine through. I came from a home with many dogs, and when I first arrived here I was very timid. I’ve been through a lot, so I’m naturally cautious with new people and new dogs. Sudden movements or loud noises can startle me, and I may bark at unfamiliar visitors or large dogs at first. Sometimes I’ll even bark through the fence at a neighboring dog or when a new dog comes into the home—but once I realize everything is okay, I settle quickly. With time and patience, I’ve made wonderful progress. I now seek out attention and pets on my own, and I’m starting to really enjoy exploring, playing, and relaxing in the quiet comfort of the house. I love toys (maybe a little too much!) and one of my funniest habits is stealing toys from the other dogs just to get them to chase me. I’m fast, playful, and surprisingly silly once my confidence kicks in. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, older children, and I politely ignore cats. I’ve lived peacefully with multiple dogs and have never had a cross word with any of them. A calm home with a confident companion dog would be ideal for me—someone who can show me the ropes and help me feel secure. I’m mostly potty-trained and do great using pee pads. I have excellent house manners, am very quiet overall, and rarely bark unless other dogs start it first. I’m not crate trained, but I sleep happily on the bed and can be trusted when left alone—I’m not destructive at all. I don’t love the cold, so my leash-walking skills are still a bit of a mystery. I’m independent and not clingy. I’ll come to you when I want affection, and when I do, it’s truly special. I may never be a full-time lap dog, but I am a loyal, gentle presence who bonds deeply with those who give me time and understanding. My previous owner had to enter a nursing home, and the rescue took me in along with four of my canine friends. With patience, stability, and love, I’ll continue to grow into the wonderful companion I’m meant to be. If you’re looking for a quiet, affectionate toy-lover who will bloom at her own pace, I just might be your Marble. Marble is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meerkat is a young female Chihuahua/Dachshund mix puppy with the cutest ears, the softest eyes, and a face that always looks like she’s smiling. One look at her and you’ll understand her nickname. She came to the rescue as part of a litter of five, found on the streets with their mama. Thanks to loving foster care, Meerkat has blossomed into a confident, gentle, and affectionate little girl who’s ready to find her new home. Meerkat is that perfect puppy blend: she plays hard, naps hard, and knows how to enjoy both. She loves romping with other dogs, but she’s also wonderfully independent and can happily entertain herself. When playtime is over and she’s scooped into your arms, she melts right in—relaxed, content, and quietly cuddly. Raised in a busy foster home with dogs of all sizes and ages, Meerkat has excellent dog manners. She reads cues beautifully and is gentle, respectful, and adaptable—even with senior pups. She’s calm indoors after her energy is spent and thrives on routine and companionship. Food is one of Meerkat’s great loves (relatable, right?), which makes her a fantastic candidate for positive-reinforcement training. She’s tolerant of handling—ears, paws, and all—and has shown no signs of resource guarding or aggression. Meerkat’s Highlights: Crate-trained at night and sleeps peacefully   Uses potty pads when needed but prefers the yard   Calm and settled indoors after playtime   Loves food and learns quickly   Gentle, affectionate, and adaptable Meerkat would thrive in a home that can offer love, patience, playtime, and continued socialization—whether that includes another dog buddy or humans who enjoy an affectionate, easygoing puppy. She’s a sweet soul, a thoughtful little observer, and a snuggler in the making. Meerkat is ready to start her happily-ever-after… could it be with you?   Meerkat is from Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hecate is affectionate and playful once she trusts you, but she needs the freedom to approach people on her own terms. Giving her that space and patience allows her personality to shine, and when it does, it’s incredibly rewarding. Her affection is sincere, soft, and lasting. Hecate is believed to be a distemper survivor, which causes her to shake and wiggle—and honestly, it only adds to her charm. When she tries to play, the combination of wobbles, enthusiasm, and determination is absolutely heart-melting. She loves to play and would do best in a patient home, preferably with another dog, as canine companionship brings her comfort and joy. She’s a resilient little soul who has clearly been through a lot, and now she’s ready for a home that understands trust takes time and love goes a long way. With patience, kindness, and a furry friend by her side, Hecate will be a devoted and joyful companion. If you’re looking for a special dog with so much love to give, Hecate is waiting for you.
